AARON’S SALES AND LEASE OWNERSHIP
TO SEND A CHILD TO VICTORY JUNCTION GANG CAMP EACH TIME REUTIMANN RACES THE
AARON’S DREAM MACHINE
TALLADEGA, Ala. (April 27, 2007) – Aaron’s Sales and Lease Ownership in conjunction with the Michael and Buffy Waltrip Charitable Fund and Michael Waltrip Racing, Inc., will send one child to the Victory Junction Gang Camp each time David Reutimann races the No. 99 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota Camry in the NASCAR Busch Series for the remainder of the 2007 season.
“Aaron’s Sales and Lease Ownership is fortunate to be able to assist Michael and Buffy (Waltrip) and Michael Waltrip Racing in their efforts to support the Victory Junction Gang Camp by giving a financial donation sufficient enough to provide one child one week at the camp every time the Aaron’s Dream Machine races this season,” said Ken Butler, President of Aaron’s Sales and Lease Ownership. “We have a lot of admiration for Michael and Buffy and we have built a strong long-standing relationship with them and their organization. We know how much they have supported Kyle and Pattie’s (Petty) Victory Junction Gang Camp for children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses and how dear the camp is to them. We have greatly supported their efforts over the years and are thankful we can take part in helping to empower children at Victory Junction Gang Camp too. We expect our Aaron’s Dream Machine to help send a lot of kids to camp this year.”
Kyle Petty, co-founder of Victory Junction Gang Camp, was appreciative of Aaron’s and Michael and Buffy’s kindness.“Michael and Buffy never stop surprising Pattie and I with their kindness and generosity,” said Kyle Petty, co-founder of Victory Junction. “Ken Butler and Aaron’s has also become great contributors to the camp over the years. I can’t thank both enough for what they do. Based on the past performances of the Aaron’s Dream Machine, we should have many happy kids at camp.”
Waltrip and his wife have been enthusiasts of Victory Junction Gang camp from its inception and were named founders of the three-year-old camp in 2005 when they donated $1 million dollars which funded the Operation Marathon Sports Center.“Victory Junction Gang Camp is special to Buffy and me,” Waltrip said. “We know that it takes a tremendous amount of support from the community and donations from companies such as Aaron’s to keep it running. The camp is something that we have felt strongly about and we are honored to be a part of this generous program. ‘OPERATION MARATHON’ was our first initiative to raise money for the camp and this program is another way to allow campers to connect with children just like them. Kyle and Pattie have poured their hearts into this year-round camp and we are humbled by the lives they have touched.”Reutimann knows how important this initiative is to his sponsor and owner.
“We applaud Aaron’s and we couldn’t be more proud to represent them,” Reutimann said. “Sometimes we have bad days on the track. Now, at the end of the day we can feel good no matter how we finish because we are sending a kid to camp
