Aaron’s “Lighten Your Load” Sweepstakes
Official Rules and Regulations

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING. 

ELIGIBILITY:    The Aaron’s “Lighten Your Load” Sweepstakes (herein referred to as the “Sweepstakes”) is open solely to legal residents of the forty-eight (48) United States (excluding Minnesota and Wisconsin) and the District of Columbia, as well as residents of Canada who reside in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Saskatchewan, and who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry. Employees, and any members of their immediate families or households, of Aaron’s, Inc. (the "Sponsor"), its franchisees, or of any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, and/or sweepstakes promotional partners, and any other person or entity involved in the design, execution or judging of the Sweepstakes are not eligible to participate or win.  

HOW TO ENTER:  The Aaron’s “Lighten Your Load” Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 a.m. ET on April 1, 2012, and ends at 5:00 pm ET on June 30, 2012 (otherwise known as the "Entry Period"). There are two ways to enter: (1) you may enter online during the Entry Period at www.aarons.com/lightenyourload, by following the “Sweepstakes” link and completing the online entry form with your full name, age, home address, zip code, e-mail address and daytime phone number (with area code) (one entry per e-mail address; duplicate entries will be disqualified); OR (2) you may visit your local participating Aaron's Sales & Lease Ownership retailer and complete an official entry form (while supplies last), including your full name, age, home address, zip code, e-mail address and daytime phone number (with area code) and deposit your completed entry in the box located at the Aaron’s “Lighten Your Load” Sweepstakes display during the Entry Period. Limit of one (1) entry per person, email address, and/or household address. Sponsor is not responsible for misdirected, late, incomplete, illegible, or lost entries, or any unforeseen circumstances that may limit an individual’s ability to participate in the Sweepstakes. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.

WINNER SELECTION:  The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period. One (1) Prize Winner (“Winner”) will be selected during a random drawing conducted on or about July 31, 2012 by an independent judging organization, whose decisions will be final and binding with respect to all aspects of the Sweepstakes. The Winner will be notified via telephone and/or U.S. mail within five (5) days after the drawing date and the Winner must complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release, which includes the Winner’s tax identification number for tax reporting purposes, to collect the prize. Failure by the Winner to return his/her set of signed forms within three (3) days from the date of receipt of the form may result in forfeiture of the price and an alternative winner may thereafter be selected. In the event the selected Winner is a resident of Canada, as a condition of receiving the Prize, such individual will be required to correctly answer a time-limited arithmetical skill-testing question without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise. Prize will be delivered to Winner’s residence, as identified on the entry. Prize will not be replaced if lost or stolen. Non-compliance with any of requirement or obligation may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner solely at the Sponsor’s discretion. Sponsor will use reasonable efforts to select an alternate winner but in the event one cannot be reasonably determined, such prize will not be awarded.

PRIZE:  One (1) Prize will be awarded. The Prize winner will receive a Samsung Front Load Washer and Dryer Laundry Pair or substantially equivalent model with an approximate retail value of $2,399.96. Prize is valued in U.S. Dollars.  

All prizes to be awarded are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Any portion of the Prize not accepted by the Winner will be forfeited. The Winner is responsible for the reporting and payment of all federal, state and local taxes (if any). The Winner will be issued a tax form 1099 for the approximate retail value of the prize awarded. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any item(s) of like value in the event the described prize is unavailable for any reason whatsoever.  

GENERAL CONDITIONS:    The Sweepstakes is offered to eligible participants as specified in these official rules, but void where prohibited or restricted by law. BY SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRY, YOU AGREE TO RELEASE AARON’S, INC., ITS FRANCHISEES, ALL PARTICIPATING RETAILERS, ADVERTISING AGENCIES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARENT COMPANIES, AFFILIATES AND SUBSIDIARIES FROM LIABILITY OF ANY KIND OR NATURE FOR ANY LOSS, CLAIMS, DAMAGES, OR INJURIES OF ANY KIND ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS PROMOTION OR ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES OR USE OF ANY PRIZE(S), INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, AS WELL AS ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS OR INVASION OF PRIVACY. You accept and agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the Sponsor relating to your participation in this Sweepstakes, selection of the winner and awarding of the prize, whose decisions are final. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to use Winner's name, biographical information, and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation, except in Tennessee and where prohibited by law. Any Sweepstakes materials (including without limitation, offer, rules and announcement of Winner) containing production, printing or typographical errors or obtained outside authorized legitimate channels may be declared void at the discretion of Sponsor and liability is limited to replacement of such materials. Recipient of any such materials agrees to release Aaron’s, Inc., its franchisees, all participating retailers, contest promoters, advertising agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, parent companies, affiliates and subsidiaries from any and all losses, claims or damages that may result in connection with any such materials. The Sponsor expressly disclaims any responsibility, and entrants agree to hold the Sponsor harmless from any liability or injury or loss to any person or property relating to participation in this Sweepstakes or the delivery and/or subsequent misuse of any prize awarded. Sponsor is not responsible for events beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control that may jeopardize the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Sweepstakes in the event the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes is jeopardized.

The Sponsor expressly disclaims any responsibility, and entrants agree to hold Sponsor harmless for liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to participation in this Sweepstakes or the delivery and/or subsequent misuse of any of the prizes awarded. The Sponsor is not responsible for events beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control that may jeopardize the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person who tampers with, or intentionally infects with a virus, any of the networks, servers or computers that are used in this promotion. The Sponsor reserves the right to suspend or terminate the contest in the event the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the contest is jeopardized.

WINNER LIST:  For the name of the Sweepstakes Winner, send a separate stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Aaron’s, Inc., Aaron’s “Lighten Your Load” Sweepstakes - WINNER, 309 E. Paces Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30305-2377 after August 1, 2012 and before September 30, 2012. Requests not received during this period will not be acknowledged, processed, or returned. Allow four to six weeks for delivery.
