Rated 1 out of 5 by from Design Flaw Creates Pooling Water in Fridge We purchased this fridge two years ago and about a month ago we had our fridge overflow not noticing that we had water pooling from the vegetable drawer. Now, every few days we have to literally dump water out of the vegetable drawer and soak up water on the bottom of the fridge. So disappointing. I have been looking at information about this fridge and discovered it is a common problem and not under warranty. What a lemon! Oh, and on top of that the ice backs up in the fridge and we have to constantly dump ice out of the ice drawer or else it hardens together in a lump. I do not recommend purchasing this product. Samsung, you need to come up with a solution to fix the problem and provide instructions to current owners on how to fix this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks pretty, but... I have had this refrigerator for approximately one month; it makes awful loud spontaneous noises, as if it were getting ready to “short circuit”.; when it is operating “normally”, it is fairly quiet. There is a constant dripping of condensation at the seal of the French doors( this leaks onto the gasket of the freezer; there is a thin ice crust layer on the bins do the freezer at all times, and I do not have the ice maker on nor is it even connected. Navigating the Samsung website is tedious, at best. My suggestion is to look elsewhere for a functioning, trouble free appliance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design - disappointed in this product We bought this refrigerator a little over a year ago and started having problems with it less than a year after we bought it. It always has frost in the freezer, and we do not have it set at an unreasonably cold temp. Additionally, for the last few months, we have been getting water in the crisper drawers in the refrigerator. My husband took the back off of the inside and found that the tube to drain the water is frozen because the metal tab from the heating element is very small. Looks to be a flaw in this design and we are so disappointed that we bought this. We truly will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again as the one we replaced was also Samsung (6 years old). We should not be having problems after only a year, especially considering how much these items cost.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loud Startling Buzzing Noise I bought this fridge based on size and design. I am very surprised about the inside space. I should have brought milk jugs, wine bottles etc to see how they fit. I have to angle my half gallon items to fit on the shelf. The compartments on either side of the door are odd sizes and cannot be moved to make better use of the space. Some are so small you can barely fit anything in them. Totally wasted space. I have had the fridge for a month and the ice maker is not hooked up but the fridge makes a loud startling noise a couple times a day, at least. I am not home all day so unsure about how often it makes this noise . Very, very disappointed with this fridge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfect I got the 18 cu. ft. Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator to replace our old one. I love that it has a much better fit. I was not sure if the size would work, but with the way that it is laid out it more then meets our needs as a family of 4. The down fall to the fridge is that it is kind of slow on making ice and is louder then our old one. These down falls do not out weigh the good though. I love that the top is french door and makes it super easy to put awkward things in the fridge. I also love that the freezer is on the bottom and because of the wide door its easier to store larger items. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks water into bins From day one, this fridge leaks water into the dry bins, its a common problem with this unit that Samsung does not repair or cover, also the freezer does not open all the way unless you force it, the ice maker also overflows with ice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value We have limited space as the kitchen's custom cabinets were built around an existing refrigerator. That machine died. This Samsung refrigerator fit the existing space with only a small adjustment to the height of the cabinet required. The machine is well lighted, the doors and drawer open readily, and its operation is quite quiet. The one complaint at this point is that we can't adjust the shelves to accommodate our filter water pitcher but it does fit in the door. We just received the machine so I can't rate its operation but it quickly established a -2f temperature in the freezer and a 38f temp in the refrigerator--good signs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The cooling system froze in 6 months of use and required service This fridge came with the condo I bought at the end of Jan. I'm the first owner and the fridge was new. It started making a loud whirring noise by the middle of June and the fridge completely stopped working a few days later. The service tech came over today, after a long wait (First appointment was a no-show although with a different service company). He was shocked at how much ice had built up in the cooling system, preventing the fan from working. The cooling coils were completely frozen over and the tech removed what looked like several pounds of ice. Now I'm worried this is going to break right after the warranty ends.
