Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Does the Job I had to replace my snow blower this year and was in a quandary as for what I would buy. My previous one which I had owned for over 15 years and it was now time to update and replace. I was impressed with the 2625 blower because of the width of the unit, combined with the fact that it had an in-dash headlight, and the piece of resistance to me was the power chute it just melted my heart because my previous one was a manual "crank forever it to change" the direction of where one wanted the snow to go. I am impressed with it because has the power, ease of operation and safety features especially the in-dash headlight. that lets me know that I made the right choice when I got it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable I have a long gravel driveway. I do taxi work for the Amish, so I have to be able to get out of the driveway dependably. As I approached 70, I felt it no longer safe to shovel by hand ( I had bypass surgery in 1993), so I bought this machine. The plug in electric start is a huge plus (no battery worries)!!! Trying to start a small gas engine in the winter, especially when only used occasionally is extremely iffy and taxing on older hearts. I plug it in and it starts every time. This machine does the job - even in the snowplow packed snow at the end of the driveway. The light makes early morning jobs possible and the snow is thrown well clear of the driveway, so the snow does not have to be moved twice. Very well designed machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy operation I have had this unit for 3 years now. I keep it serviced (oil change, aiir filter, etc. ) and not a spec of trouble. Goes through anything mother nater throws at it !!!. Even at the end of my 100 foot log driveway where the town plow piles up snow, slush, and ice. I highly recomend Troy-Bilt !!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Draining the fuel tank Gasoline is often full of alcohol. To prevent gumming the carberator after storing for more than 2 weeks, it pays to drain the fuel tank, which is nearly impossible. Instead of a twist valve, you have to use a screwdriver and tilt the engine almost 120 degrees forward.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Very Good Performer I have only used the snow thrower one season and it performed very well, even in our late April wet, heavy, 16" snowstorm. I rated durability as a 4 because I cannot speak to its durability after just one season. I am waiting to see how well the non-pneumatic tires hold up. They do not seem to be made such that you can add chains, which can be a disadvantage for traction in MN. I rated ease of use a little lower than a 5 because the joystick style chute rotator, at times, can take two hands to use.
