Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Wide Cut Mower out there! I was looking for a wide cut mower and did a lot of research. This had the most features and a larger Briggs & Stratton engine than any competitors. This thing is a nimble beast and turns on a dime with hardly any effort. Always starts up with one pull and cuts the lawn with ease. I used the bag for the first cut of the season and it worked great. Next cut was for mulching and it left no clumps at all. The yard looks like it was cut by a professional. Nothing but a positive review and if you are on the fence about getting this mower, do it! You will not be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Lawn Mower I've Ever Owned I have 1/2 acre of lawn that needs to be mowed once a week. It's normally a 2 hour job. With this mower I've reduced the time by 30 minutes. The bag is large so I don't have to empty it as often and the two blade cutting system keeps the power high enough so I can cut any high of lawn. The larger grass discharge also keeps the unit from plugging up with taller grass. I'm delighted with the performance, the adjustable drive, and the quick starts. It's a great mower and I'm sold on Troy-Bilt products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING MOWER!! I purchased this earlier this year and love it! It starts perfectly and very quickly-I was used to my electric start but realized it is just as easy. It uses different blades to bag the grass than to mulch it (which can get a bit much if you have a yard like mine and I like to bag the front and mulch the back). It cuts terrific and even. Only issue I have now is that the tube the grass goes in to get to the bag broke the deck stud it was supposed to attach to. Not sure what to do since the deck pin is soldered on. I will have to contact someone from Troy Built to help me out on this. I love all the options I have and it is well worth the money spent!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from bought and broke in 3 months I bought the mower because of the rave reviews in Consumer Reports. It works like a charm, but the bottom spring broke and the machine stopped because it got stuck in the pulley. Now the mower is in the shop and I have been without for two weeks. I wanted to write a note to Troy-bilt but there is no email address to write to on the website, so this is the best I can do. I hope someone at TB reads this and gets in touch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some good, Some bad Fills the bag completely. NOTE: if you want to bag, you have to use the different blades shipped loose with the mower. There is once sentence in the manual that mentions this and that is it. Cut the grass great and turns so-so. I have issues with the mower popping a wheelie often when starting a new pass after engaging the drive. I am considering adding weight to the front of the mower somehow. The plastic casing at the front wheels should really be metal. Starts on first pull. Powerful engine. Love that the blades can be shut off without killing the engine. Wide cut is nice, definitely less passes in the yard. The single lever height adjustment was a nice treat. The manual is horrible. Since they make different variations of this mower (craftsman, club cadet, etc) they made the manual to encompass info for all of them instead of dedicated manual. Of course it doesnt mention the need to switch blades for bagging until AFTER it mentions filling oil and gas and connecting grass chute.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Test drive Chose TB WC28 because it had the largest engine with the widest cut that still had a push mower handle controls. I was not disappointed. Well balanced and very light to handle. The grass cutting was even and the grass catcher worked well. I managed to get the chute clogged once by shortening the cut all the way and hitting thick grass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bikers Fantasy For all you bikers out there that like popping Wheelies, MTD has designed this SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION 28 Inch Mower called the "Troybilt Wheelie" just for you. SERIOUSLY MTD?? This is an excellent, EXCELLENT, powerful, well built, twin blade mower with one minor design issue. It likes popping wheelies. Late April, Early May 2016 we had 19 days of rain in a row. With being sick at that time, I was unable to cut the grass. When I finally felt better, the grass was 8 to 12 inches tall, so I put this BAD BOY mower to the test! I used this mower as a mulching mower. Because of the grass was extremely high, several ares were still wet. I raised the mower deck to its highest setting and cut the grass practically running, to knock it down. I was amazed that 95 percent was gone. I than lowered the deck to halfway, cut the grass a second time taking my time. WHEN FINISHED, IT LOOKED LIKE A PROFESSIONAL LANDSCAPING COMPANY HAD MOWED THE GRASS! Research and Development, along with Product Testing needs to come up with a solution for this issue. I proposed three ideas to them and hopefully they can resolve the issue and keep all 4 wheels on the ground.
