Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise. Lawn equipment, seasonal items, and special order merchandise are excluded from the lifetime reinstatement benefit. See a store associate for complete details.

In dehumidifying mode does it automatically evaporate the moisture or are you required to run a drain hose for it to get rid of any collected moisture? We have this in a garage that has high humidity and are wanting to keep the humidity levels low.

Asked by: TXnick
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! As the unit runs, it draws moisture from the air. This moisture condenses into water that is collected in the storage tank. Inside the unit, there is a slinger ring that picks up the water and flings it on the hot condenser so it can evaporate. Typically you will not need to empty the storage tank, except if there is excessive water. This may occur when you use Dehumidify Mode or when you first connect the air conditioner. Instructions for emptying this tank are found on page 8 of the owner's manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000439-2.pdf. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

Does the unit require a window for venting for AC & heat modes or can it just be plugged in? I.e. if used in a close garage will it still function?

Asked by: Aaa081975
Hi! We appreciate you for reaching out to us with this question. We are happy to provide guidance. This APSA13YZMW model air conditioning unit does require a window for proper venting. The window panel can be installed in a window with a minimum 20” (55.88 cm) to a maximum 46” (121.92 cm) opening. Thank you for checking with us. We hope this helps. - Adrian@GEA

On the dehumidify setting, does it bring the room down to a certain humidity or does it just stay on indefinitely?

Asked by: StayAtHomeClub
Good afternoon StayAtHomeClub, We wanted to thank you for being part of our wonderful GEA family and taking the time to check with us about the dehumidify setting! This is a great question! When "Dehumidify Mode" is selected it means that the unit operates in normal mode with the exception that the indoor fan does not operate. The cold coils inside the unit will attract moisture. You cannot change the fan speed when this mode is selected. While in "Dehumidify Mode" some moisture will be removed from the air, however it will not automatically turn off. You run this mode until the room is at your preferred comfort level, then manually switch it off! If you have any additional questions about this model or any of its awesome features, please do not hesitate to connect with us again! We are always here to help! Thank you and take care! Drew@GEA

When i put the air conditioner on heat is it supposed to throw cold air first and then heat i used it on a handful of time on heat and now its started to just blow cold air

Asked by: Dani26
Hello Dani26 - Thank you for reaching out to us today. We hope you are doing well and we are absolutely happy to provide some assistance. When the heat mode is enabled it may take some time for the desired temperature of the controlled air to be reached. We also recommend making sure that the air filters are clean and that all doors and windows are closed. The last thing to try is to reset the electronics by unplugging the power cord for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. We hope this helps out some. Let us know if you need further assistance.
