Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise. Lawn equipment, seasonal items, and special order merchandise are excluded from the lifetime reinstatement benefit. See a store associate for complete details.

When using just the dehumidifier does the exhaust hose still need to be in window or can I move unit to middle of large room?

Asked by: Jarreau
Hello, Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We are happy to help! When using the dehumidifier mode with this model, you will need to have it vented. When the unit is dehumidifying, the compressor is generating heat as it operates. In order to avoid having the compressor overheat, air is drawn by the compressor at a rapid rate and exhausted from the unit. The warm air will stop shortly after the unit has reached the desired humidity. This portable air conditioner's window panel does have to be installed in a window for proper air circulation and efficiency. You can view a diagram of the Installation Instructions on page 9 of the Installation Instructions at the link below. https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000440-2.pdf We hope this helps, feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns. -Garrett@GEA

What is the difference between sleep mode and timer?

Asked by: LeeLi
Hi there, Thank you for connecting with us, this is a great question! The timer mode is allows you to program a time from (1-hour to 24-hours) for the air conditioner to turn Off or On. When sleep mode is selected from the remote control or control panel, the unit will operate on low speed and the set temperature will automatically increase at 2 hours and 4 hours. We hope this helps, have a great day! -Garrett@GEA

how many amps does this unit use during start up?

Asked by: rpete997
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! The rated cooling amps AHAM for this model = 7.5. On appliances with compressors (ex. refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers), there is a brief surge of power when the compressor cycles on. This is called the "surge" or "start-up" amps, and is about 2x to 3x the running (cooling) amps. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

Asked by: RickHu
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, and for your purchase of a new GE Appliance! We truly appreciate your choice to do business with us, and we apologize that the air conditioner is not working properly. Please disconnect power to the appliance for two to three minutes. This will reset the electronic components and hopefully restore normal functioning. Should the issue persist, please review the details of your product warranty on page 15 of the owner's manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000440-2.pdf. Hello! Is there a drain hose attachment for emptying the water? If so where can I purchase it?

Asked by: Molly618
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! If using the unit in the DRY mode as a dehumidifier for an extended time, you can connect a drain hose. Connect a drain hose (standard garden hose size found at a local hardware store) to the upper drain port and lead hose to floor drain. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

Can I use an extension cord specifically designed for air conditioners that accomodate 15 amps? The 6" cord is not long enough to reach the outlet.

Asked by: hotcity
Hello, Thanks for the question! We hope you have been doing well today and taking it easy. We checked out the electrical requirements and we would not recommend using an extension cord with this unit, even if it's rated to handle 115 volts and 15 amps. We definitely understand that sometimes the cord isn't able to reach you and that can cause a lot of issues, but your safety is most important and we wouldn't want any problems to happen. If you need further assistance or have any additional questions we are always here to help. Stay safe! Jonathon@GEA

How many pieces come with the window adapter? My window is very small and if I use 6 inches of the adapter it closes the hole for hose

Asked by: GE 8500 BTU
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, and for your interest in this GE Appliance! This is a great question. Model APCA09YZMW requires a window that meets the following size specifications: Min./Max. Window Opening Width (in.) = 20 / 46 Minimum Window Opening Height (in.) = 4.75 If your window does not meet these specifications you will not be able to install this air conditioner. The window plate seal is one piece. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. - Trey@GEA
