Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

How many pieces come with the window adapter? My window is very small and if I use 6 inches of the adapter it closes the hole for hose

Asked by: GE 8500 BTU
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, and for your interest in this GE Appliance! This is a great question. Model APCA09YZMW requires a window that meets the following size specifications: Min./Max. Window Opening Width (in.) = 20 / 46 Minimum Window Opening Height (in.) = 4.75 If your window does not meet these specifications you will not be able to install this air conditioner. The window plate seal is one piece. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. - Trey@GEA

When I first bought this unit, I would run it on cooling mode and it would run until I turned it off. Now it shuts off very frequently. It does this when it’s in fan mode too. Is there a way that I can keep it on all night without shutting off?

Asked by: shope1119
Hi there, Thank you for choosing GEA in your home, we are sorry for any inconveniences with your portable air conditioner. When the unit is set in "Cool" Mode it will not run continuously. The temperature control is used to maintain the room temperature. The compressor will cycle on and off to keep the room at the set level of comfort. Set the temperature control at a lower number and the indoor air will become cooler. Set the temperature control at a higher number and the indoor air will become warmer. There is not a way to make the compressor and fan both run continuously on this model. The timer function simply allows you to program the unit so that it will either completely turn off, or turn on from being powered off, at a certain time. For more on controls, you can refer to page 5 of the owner's manual with the link provided below. https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000440-2.pdf We hope this helps, have a great day! -Garrett@GEA

Portable Room AC Mod APFD06JASWG1 Ser DS033362O There is Sleep Mode on the Control Panel & the Remote but specs say this model does not include sleep mode. Sleep Mode is not discussed in Owner Manual. What is the Sleep Mode and what does it do?

Asked by: Jim516
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! When sleep mode is selected from the remote control or control panel, the unit will operate on low speed and the set temperature will automatically increase at 2 hours and 4 hours. We hope this helps and apologize for the lack of information in the owner's manual. - Trey@GEA

Is the exhaust hose supposed to get really hot?

Asked by: Milonana1
Hello - Thank you so much for reaching out with this amazing question. We hope you are doing well and taking it easy. We're happy to clear this up. Yes, it is normal for the exhaust hose to get hot, after all that is where the hot air is being collected and pushed. We hope this helped. Thank you for choosing GE Appliances. Jonathon@GEA

Do I have to use the timer to have it run continuously. When I turn the unit on, it only stays on a few minutes than shuts off. But comes on periodically after turning it on.

In the item description this air conditioner shows that it is 9000BTU, but the British is 8500BTU…I AM CONFUSED.

Asked by: Dentr
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us! We are so sorry for the confusion. While shopping for a new Portable Air Conditioner, you will see two different BTU ratings, ASHRAE and SACC. The ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) rating is one that has been used for many years. In the past few years, the US Department Of Energy (DOE) defined a new way of rating Portable Air Conditioners. This is the SACC (Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity) rating and it needs to be shown on all Portable Air Conditioners. Seeing two ratings can be confusing when trying to choose the right Portable Air Conditioner to cool a space in the home. The best thing to do to ensure the unit is sized properly is to follow the manufacturer's room size recommendations. Our GE Appliances Portable Air Conditioner sizing recommendation for this model is a room up to 250 square feet. That equates to room dimensions of about 12' x 20'. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

Can just an extension cord

Asked by: Lin108
Greetings! We appreciate you connecting with us. We are more than happy to provide guidance. We do not recommend using an extension cord for this unit. We recommend using a 3-prong grounding outlet plug. The 3-prong grounding plug minimizes the possibility of electric shock hazard. Thank you for checking with us. We hope this helps! - Adrian@GEA

Window install suggests a 90 cm height. My window is about 50 centimeters from floor.  Will that be an issue?  BTW, the unit will be in a 180 sq ft room with central air, but prefer room a couple degrees cooler. Thank you, Tom

Asked by: TomFSU
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, and we apologize for our delayed response. This is a great question! There is no concern with having a window height lower than 90 cm. The APCA09YZMW can be installed and will work perfectly fine with a lower window height of 50 cm. This is not an issue. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA
