Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

I want to install a large shelf in the door above the line indicated...for this. Good idea?

Asked by: Beverly Blow
Hello Beverly Blow - It's so nice to hear from you. Thanks for reaching out and getting in touch with us. We definitely are happy to help clarify that for you. This is a beautiful refrigerator with a lot of space and organization to match. However, we would not recommend adding any shelves that does not come with the refrigerator already. This can cause improper airflow; it can also be incompatible and not fit inside. We hope this doesn't cause to much inconvenience. Thank you so much for being a part of the GEA family. We are always here for any questions. Jonathon@GEA

Water is dispensing on its own leaving my floors wet. The techs have already replaced, diodes, water valve, motherboard, freezer door and most recently the ice maker. Does any one know what else we could try or what might be causing this problem?

Asked by: Vic07
Hi Vic07, Thank you for reaching out and we're sorry to hear you're having an issue. If the cradle is stuck, it will require service. To stop the flow immediately, just open the freezer door. As a temporary measure, either unplug the refrigerator or remove the freezer hinge cover and unplug dispenser wire harness (may be 1 or 2 plugs to disconnect) at the top freezer door hinge. Unplug the refrigerator first. On some models the wires are behind the grille near the water line - simply Unplug the refrigerator and disconnect the wires We hope this helps! Dom@GEA

My water filter is leaking, but it’s not the actual filter. It’s the part where the filter clips into. How can I get a new part for that?

Asked by: Jose T
Hello, Jose T Thank you so much for checking with us. We are sorry to hear about the filter leaking and we are more than happy to provide some assistance. You can view all available parts for your refrigerator on our parts page, this includes the filter housing. Here is a link to the page: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/assembly/GSS23GSKRCSS We recommend making sure to double check that the filter isn't leaking by plugging the bypass plug in and seeing if the leak is still present; no worries if you don't have the plug. Hope this helps out! Let us know if you need any further assistance. Jonathon@GEA

I just purchased this refrigerator and it is on a tile floor. The refrigerator rolls towards me every time I open it. Is there a way to lock the wheels?

Asked by: jeremydoane
Hi jeremydoane, Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We are happy to help. Use caution when using a refrigerator installed on a hard floor. Due to the size of the doors and the strength of the door gaskets, it is possible that it may roll or move when one of the doors is opened. Since the rollers/wheels do not lock in place, it may help to place a piece of wood, a small wood wedge, or plastic furniture coaster (with felt on the bottom) under the wheels to prevent rolling. Re-level the refrigerator if necessary. Chase@GEA

The temperature control readings on the front of freezer door only come on when adjusting temperature. Is this normal? Should they be on all the time to show the temperature? Also, is there a wine or door can rack for this model available for purchase?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Anonymous, Thank you for reaching out to us and choosing GE Appliances for your home. We understand your concern and are happy to help. The refrigerator controls will go to sleep and turn-off/fade after a certain period of non-use. With your complete model number, you can purchase and identify replacement parts and accessories from our GE Appliances Filters & Parts Store: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/parts/. Are the side panels on this model, GSS23GMKES, also Slate to match the front. If not are there any 33" models with Slate finish on the sides. As side panel will be visible black will not complement kitchen color scheme.

Asked by: Now unsure
Hello Now unsure, Thanks so much for reaching out and asking this! We really appreciate the chance to help! We want to apologize about our delayed response today. This refrigerator comes with the true Slate finish on the front and the sides are a standard dark gray finish. We currently don't have any refrigerators with a full slate finish on the sides, only a dark shade of grey. We apologize for any inconvenience. Stay safe! Keep in touch! Jonathon@GEA

how do you change the bulb in the freezer

Asked by: karen hope
Hi karen hope, thanks for reaching out! We have listed the steps for changing the light bulb in your freezer below. 1. Unplug the refrigerator. 2. Remove the shelf just above the light shield. (The shelf will be easier to remove if it is emptied first.) Remove the screw at the top of the light shield. 3. To remove the light shield, press in on the sides, and lift up and out. 4. Replace the bulb with an appliance bulb of the same or lower wattage, and reinstall the light shield. When reinstalling the light shield, make sure the top tabs snap securely into place. Replace the screw. 5. Reinstall the shelf and plug the refrigerator back in. Keep in touch! -Megan@GEA
