Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). Why is there no low heat setting? how do dry delicates and stuff I don't want to shrink

Asked by: dannyboombats
Hello dannyboombats - Thanks for reaching out to us! This is a great question. If you are wanting to dry delicates or items you are careful not to shrink we recommend two things. First, use a short timed dry cycle, 20 or 30 minutes. Second, you will want to adjust the temperature setting to either "Casuals" or "Air Fluff". We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

Hello, How should I add the fabric softener during the rinse portion when selecting deep rinse? If I press pause, the lid won’t open as it’s locked, and if I press and hold for 3 seconds it will stop and then I have to start from the beginning.

Asked by: SimaK
Hi SimaK, Thank you for reaching out to us and choosing GE Appliances for your home. We apologize for our delay responding and understand your concern. We are happy to help. We recommend purchasing a fabric softener ball at a local grocery or retail store. You can put fabric softener in the ball and put the ball in with the load. Then when the spin cycle starts, the high speed spin causes the ball to dispense the detergent. We hope this helps! Chase@GEA

Can I wash and dry Queen Down or Down Alternative Comforter? My rental includes this model with the matching model for dryer. Also, the cap on the washer’s agitator comes right off, does it mean I can pour the softener there? Thank you

Asked by: Gapxy
Hello Gapxy - Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your washer; we are glad to assist. Most comforters will wash properly in our washers as long as the below is followed: Top-load – The comforter fits below the balance ring of the washer tub and is not stuffed in the tub tightly. The thickness, density, and overall size of the comforter should be taken in account when deciding whether to wash the comforter in a washer. This washer model does not have a fabric softener dispenser, even though it has Deep Rinse. You can use a Downy Ball or manually add softener during the rinse; however, you will need to make sure you use Deep Rinse. WE hope this information is helpful. Thanks for checking!

How do you use the precise fill option?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello darice, Thanks for the question as well as the interest in the Precise Fill option on the washer. We are delighted to provide assistance. Precise Fill allows the washer to determine the optimum water required to wash the items in the basket. To use this option properly, follow proper loading instructions and keep the lid closed during the wash cycle. Precise Fill senses the load during the water filling portion of the cycle to determine how much water is needed. Step 1: Select the right amount of High Efficiency (HE) detergent. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended amount for your load. Pre-treat stains if needed. HE detergent is a low sudsing detergent. Contrary to other applications, suds in a washing machine can reduce cleaning performance. Step 2: Loosely load the clothing into the washer basket around of the outside of the basket. Pouring and/or compacting the load can lead to poor cleaning performance and increase wrinkling and tangling. Do not wrap items around the agitator or infusor as that can lead to increased wrinkling. Step 3: Close the lid. Select the settings for your washer cycle. To get the maximum rinse performance, select an option with Fabric softener (adds additional water to rinse). Keep the lid closed during the cycle. Please feel free to contact us at any time. We wish you all the best and hope that you are safe and well. Sincerely, Richard

PLEASE provide a PRECISE answer on wash cycle times. My model does not have a fabric softener dispenser and downy balls don't always open. I want to manually add softener and understand the time between fill, wash, rinse, spin on different cycle options.

Asked by: toobusytowatchwashercycle
Hi - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE Washer Model # GTW220ACKWW. We are sorry to hear downy balls don't always open. This must be frustrating. You may want to call the manufacturer (Downy 1-800-688-7638) for suggestions or reasons why they are not opening. We don't provide the precise timing for when the rinse starts. This can vary somewhat on the load size selected, as load size, water temperature selected, and water pressure can affect the fill time. The indicator lights will let you know the washer is in the rinse portion of the cycle. Be sure to select the Deep Rinse option when using fabric softener. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Keep in touch!

How do you clean inside the agitator? It's really dirty inside and it seems the water is being filled inside this agitator while machine is in action. Is there a guide to remove this agitator and clean it???

Asked by: JWKIM
Hello JWKIM - Thank you for reaching out about your washer. We are sorry to hear about the state of your agitator. For models without a fabric softener in the agitator such as this, there should be a cap on top preventing water or debris from getting in. If this cap is not present, please reach out to our Parts team. The agitator can only be removed by certified technician. To schedule an appointment, please call 1-800-432-2737.

This machine was installed in my new townhouse, and I ran a large load tonight and it’s making the most awful groaning sound during the wash. Is this normal? All the reviews say this machine is quiet, mine is anything but.

Asked by: bandypair
hi bandypair, this is a really finicky machine about balancing the load. make sure that you're not washing light materials with heavy. some things like jackets will need to go it alone. as you learn how to do this, you will see it as a quiet and efficient machine.

What happens to the washing machine if softener was poured into the agitator without the dispenser?

Asked by: Pearly Pearl
Hi Pearly Pearl, Thank you for reaching out to us with your question! If you've poured fabric softener into the agitator without the dispenser in place, the softener will leak into the wash and not be as effective as it could be. To ensure that all of this softener is rinsed out of your clothing, we would recommend using the Deep Rinse option when running the next cycle. We hope that this helps! Thank you very much for your question.
