Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

Model Number GTW490ACJWS where do you put the detergent and fabric softener at it only has a place for the bleach. And I need a manual

Asked by: jawsie
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, these are great questions. You can view the owner's manual for this model here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-3000255.pdf. If using detergent packets, add to the bottom of the wash basket before adding clothes. If using liquid detergent, add the manufacturer’s recommended amount of detergent to the top of the load after adding clothes. This washer doesn't have a specific place to put fabric softener. You will need to purchase something like fabric softener balls to use with this machine or add it at the appropriate time in the wash cycle. If liquid fabric softener is desired, wait until the Rinse cycle status light is lit and the final rinse fill is complete before adding the recommended amount of liquid fabric softener directly to the rinse bath. When adding liquid fabric softener, pour into deeper areas of rinse water while avoiding direct contact with fabric. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

When and where can I add softener, REALLY needs a dispenser

Asked by: ruberoc
Hello, We hope you having a great week so far, thank you so much for reaching out to us. We recommend adding the fabric softener that has been diluted directly to the tub. It can be before of after adding the clothes. We apologize for any inconvenience. Stay safe out there! Jonathon@GEA

The hybrid laundry washer has plastic in it. Is this the reason it has a proposition 65 warning on it?

Asked by: Inquisitive78
Hello, We hope you are doing well and having a great week so far. Thank you for taking the time to contact us here. We comply with all federal, state and international requirements regarding hazardous substances and meet those standards. We also comply with federal and state chemical labeling laws, like California Proposition 65. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or poses a health risk. Over 800 chemicals are on this list, including wood dust, nickel (found in stainless steel), nicotine, and alcohol. Additionally, even inaccessible parts can cause the warning. I can understand your concern; however, we do not provide detailed information about what causes the Prop 65 warning to apply Thank you again for reaching out. Stay safe out there. Jonathon@GEA

How many loads can this machine hold?  Is a load measured by weight or by how full the machine is?

Asked by: KevinCA
Hello KevinCA, Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in GE Appliances. We are happy to help. A washer is not limited in practical terms by the pounds or weight of clothes it can wash. It is limited by the volume of clothes that can be put in the machine. There is not a standard of determining the loads the washer can hold. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Let us know if you have any additional questions. Del@GEA

The locking mechanism to secure the lid will not engage. Electronically speaking, everything seems to work just fine while selecting the wash settings. However, the washer stays stuck in silent limbo with a closed lid even after pressing the start button.

Asked by: Denz37
Hello Denz37 - We hope you are doing well. We are sorry to hear about the washer lid issue and we are certainly happy to offer some assistance in this matter. We know just how frustrating that can be. The first thing we would recommend is to reset the electronics of the washer. This can be done by removing the power cord for 2 minutes and plugging it back in. If this doesn't resolve the issue then we would absolutely suggest getting a service technician out to the home for proper diagnostics and repair. You can schedule an appointment with a GE Appliance technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm Keep in touch and stay safe!
