Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

Washing machine is excessively wrinkling clothes after washing cycle

Asked by: Bamastev
Hello, We are so sorry to hear that you are experiencing excessive wrinkles in your clothes after washing them. We are happy to give you all the information that may be a possible cause to this. These causes include- using the wrong type of wash cycle, which can be fixed by matching the cycle selection to the type of fabric you are washing. Improper sorting can also cause more wrinkling, avoiding mixing heavy items with light items will improve the wash outcome. You can also use a fabric softener. Overloading your machine is also something we recommend to be aware of. You can find and view these tips on page 26 of the installation instructions manual posted below. https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-3000187-1.pdf We really hope this helps! -SAM@GEA

Is there a consensus why there are so many failures of the heating on these units after the 1 year warranty at 14-18 months?

Asked by: Rikk1953
Hi There! We appreciate you choosing GE Appliances for your home. We apologize about the failures of your machine during this time span. We are more than happy to provide guidance. It is not possible to determine the product failure rate, lifespan , life expectancy, or life cycle of an appliance, even an approximate age. There are many variables involved, like: frequency of use, type of use, location of appliance (ex. high humidity; near the ocean; etc.), care, and maintenance. Again, we do apologize about this unit failing and we understand the inconvenience this causes. Thank you for reaching out to us. We hope this helps! - Adrian@GEA

do i need to clean the filter and where is it?

Asked by: TobeyTobias
Hello! We appreciate you connecting with us. This is a great question, and we are happy to provide guidance. The only filter associated with this machine is the water filter pump, and it does not need to be cleaned. You should not mess with this pump unless you will be gone from your home for an extended amount of time. If you will be gone from your home for an extended amount of time, you will need to drain all water from hoses and water filter pump area if weather will be below freezing to avoid freezing water. Thank you for checking with us. Please feel free to reach out to us with any additional questions you may have. We hope this helps! - Adrian@GEA

My machine has stopped dispensing the detergent during any cycle. What are some troubleshooting steps prior to making a warranty claim?

Asked by: Leo85
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us! We are so sorry to hear that your washer is not dispensing any detergent and know this must be frustrating. Please disconnect power to the washer for two to three minutes. This will reset the electronic components and hopefully restore normal functioning to the dispenser. Should the issue persist, this will require service by a qualified technician. You can schedule an appointment with a GE Appliance technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. - Trey@GEA

I'm on water rationing and calculated that three loads of laundry used 117 gallons. I have the 5.2 cu ft model. Which settings use the least water.

Asked by: Kathy31
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! This model washer uses load sensing and adaptive water fill to provide just the right amount of water for best performance and low water usage. The wash basket will turn briefly and assess the weight of the load. It will also do this after the load is saturated with water to assess how absorbent the load is. With the load weight and load type we can apply the proper amount of water to wash the load. With this being said, there is not a specific wash cycle that uses the least amount of water as this is based on load size, weight, etc. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

What if you mistakenly add an entire 72oz Tide Detergent in the fill that was meant for bleach

Asked by: Asay
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, and we apologize for our delayed response. We are so sorry to hear about the mix up with detergent going into the bleach dispenser and know you must be concerned. Unfortunately, the only way to get this out is to run the washer. The detergent should not harm the septic system, but flushing it out with bleach is not recommended for septic systems. Our recommendation would be to do a Heavy Duty cycle with Hot Water and Deep Rinse. This will give it a full tub of water to help dilute the detergent and another full 30 gallons in the deep rinse cycle. If this is too much water for the septic system, then run some smaller loads by throwing in a load of rags/old towels and running the sanitize cycle (for the hot water). One concern is there may be an issue with oversudsing when running the washer because the soap from the bleach dispenser will put that large amount of detergent in the washer. Monitor the cycle. If oversudsing starts to occur, stop the cycle and run drain and spin cycle and then repeat the cycles. This may take a couple of cycles to flush out. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

What chemical(s) are used in this appliance that it doesn't meet Proposition 65 standards? And are those chemicals used in a way that they would cause harm to my family either through contact with the clothes or thru the air when it's drying items?
