Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise. Lawn equipment, seasonal items, and special order merchandise are excluded from the lifetime reinstatement benefit. See a store associate for complete details.

I'm trying to figure out if the dryer door will open "hamper" style. I found that some say reversible and it doesn't just mean left or right. Can someone clarify this for me?

    Asked by: DryerQ
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! The door on this dryer comes in a way that opens from left to right. This can be reversed to open from right to left according to the steps that start on page 19 of the Installation Instructions: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-3000199.pdf. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

When I start the dryer after 2 minutes it will stop, and says end like it the end of the cycle when I just started it any ideas why that happens

    Asked by: Timm642
Hello, Thank you for reaching out. We are sorry you are experiencing this with your dryer. There are a few things we recommend checking when this happens. Check the power supply. Electric dryers require a separate 220-volt outlet, 30 amp dual breaker or two 30 amp fuses. Make sure the front of the dryer is not blocked causing it to overheat. When dryers are put in the automatic cycle the timer will advance sporadically so it may at times appear that it is not advancing at all. The dryer can come with an automatic no-load detecting system and which works when a sensor cycle is started in the dryer, the dryer will detect the presence of a clothes load. If no load is present, the dryer will automatically shut itself off after about 2 minutes. This can also happen if the unit is tilted to the rear, moving the clothes away from the sensor rods. We hope this is helpful to you. Thank you for choosing GE Appliances in your home. -SAM@GEA

Is there a consensus why there are so many failures of the heating on these units after the 1 year warranty at 14-18 months?

    Asked by: Rikk1953
Hi There! We appreciate you choosing GE Appliances for your home. We apologize about the failures of your machine during this time span. We are more than happy to provide guidance. It is not possible to determine the product failure rate, lifespan , life expectancy, or life cycle of an appliance, even an approximate age. There are many variables involved, like: frequency of use, type of use, location of appliance (ex. high humidity; near the ocean; etc.), care, and maintenance. Again, we do apologize about this unit failing and we understand the inconvenience this causes. Thank you for reaching out to us. We hope this helps! - Adrian@GEA

What chemical(s) are used in this appliance that it doesn't meet Proposition 65 standards? And are those chemicals used in a way that they would cause harm to my family either through contact with the clothes or thru the air when it's drying items?

Hi again, We appreciate you taking time to check with us about this. We are happy to help! In our previous response we elaborated on the Proposition 65 standards. As for drying items, we comply with all regulations with all of our appliances so there won't be any harm caused by using our appliances. If you have any additional question, feel free to check with us again. Take care! Drew@GEA

Hello - my drier just suddenly turned off and won't go back on again. It's not the circuit breaker because it wasn't tripped and I already reset it. What would cause it not to turn on?

    Asked by: Gazzo
Hello! Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We are so sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your dryer not starting. We are happy to provide guidance. There is no known reason why your dryer isn't turning on. You can schedule an appointment with a GE Appliances technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at the link below. http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm Again, we are sorry you're experiencing this with your dryer. Hi!, Thank you for reaching out and choosing GE Appliances. Most electric dryer power cords are sold separately to ensure that they comply with all state and local wiring codes, which vary locally. Since it is not known what dryer cord will be needed, the local dealer usually provides the power cord. To ensure the performance and safety of the dryer, we do not recommend reusing the existing power cord from the previous dryer. Thanks for checking! Dom@GEA

Purchased this dryer in February. It was delivered April 5th. They were not able to hook anything up when it was delivered. We were told to contact a plumber. Plumber came yesterday to hook washer and dryer up. Dryer does NOT WORK

    Asked by: JLV8
Hi!, Thank you for reaching out and choosing GE Appliances. We're sorry to hear that the dryer is not working. We know how inconvenient that can be. Check the building’s fuse/circuit breaker box and replace fuse or reset breaker. NOTE: Some electric dryers use two fuses/breakers, make sure both are operating. If that does not resolve the issue then service will be needed. You can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-432-2737, Mon-Fri 7 am – 10 pm ET, Sat-Sun 8 am – 6 pm ET or schedule online anytime at: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm Service is for the period of one year from the original date of purchase. It covers any part of the dryer which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. During this limited one-year warranty, we will also provide, free of charge, all labor and related service to replace the defective part. We hope this helps! Dom@GEA
