Rated 5 out of 5 by from No one should love a piece of machinery this much I went all out and bought the bagger and the jack so that I could sharpen and change blades from mulching to vacuum easier. The mower does a great job and doesn't leave scars from the zero turn like other zero turn mowers. The bagger with the blades with wings creates a vacuum so strong, I can actually hear it over the engine. It even sucks up hickory nuts. I used to have a huge pile of leaves that wouldn't even fit along my curb, now the pile is way smaller and mulched and I don't have to rake at all. Emptying the bag is really easy and the design is simple. I've had it for about a year now and I'm the envy of the neighborhood. Love the drink holder, too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Mower... Steering Could Be Better. Just cut my first three acres today and couldn't be more happy with the performance of this mower. My only concern was with the steering... there was about a half inch of play in the wheel. My last mower was a Troy-Bilt Neighborhood Rider which lasted for about four years before the steering went out. I hope that won't be the case with this mower. In my opinion, MTD needs to pay more attention to, and beef up their steering mechanisms. Other than that, I have no complaints so far and would recommend this machine to anyone looking to upgrade their mowing experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Mustang Pivot 46 Zero-Turn Rider So far (6.5 hours), this mower has been a pleasure to mow with. There is plenty of power (22 hp) and the zero turn with the steering wheel is awesome. The first oil change was simple enough (even though the oil filter felt like it was put on with an impact wrench). I recommend that all owners look and read the owners manual for grease points that need attention. Over all, this mower has been fun to drive, ride and cut grass. If this Troy-Bilt last the ten years my old Pony did, I'll be more than satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Mower I have used this mower now about 8 hours worth and I love this machine. I thought the pedals would be difficult to get used to but it was no problem. I much prefer the steering wheel to the levers for zero turn, and this thing turns great. There are a couple of things to note, it can be a rough ride. I noticed other reviewers saying this same thing; also when you let off the accelerator, it comes to an abrupt stop - so abrupt that if you are not expecting it, it can almost throw you off the machine. One thing I would change - MTD folks take note: the gas port needs improvement. It is very difficult to re-fill the tank from a 5 gallon tank because of the angle of the port. I would angle the neck about 45 degrees and extend the neck a couple of inches to ease the insertion of the gas can spout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good bargain, easy to use I had never used a zero turn mower with the joy sticks, but I cannot see how it could be any more enjoyable than the zero turn with the steering wheel. One hand is freed up to push small branches out of the way and to wave at the neighbors when they drive by. I have used the mower several times now, I personally do not even expect to have any problems. I know how to use it and maintain it, I drive it like a machine and treat it like a good trustworthy friend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low Oil Pressure Malfunction Mustang Pivot 46 is brand new. It has less than five hours of service. Shut off during use. Will not restart. Shows "Low Oil Pressure" error message. Will not start. Had to haul across the field. It is very heavy when not under power. No useful information in Operators Manual. Understand this is a repetitive problem. Machine was highly rated by Consumer Reports. Not sure if I just got a lemon or not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall very satisfied I've only put about 10 hours on the mower but I'm satisfied with the smooth cut, how it manuvers and the discharge. I do have two complaints: 1. the seat is not as comfortable as I'm use to, the back is too straight (almost leans forward), which makes me feel like I'm sliding forward. There is no adjustment for this. 2. The tray has no cover so anything put there gets covered in dust and grass clippings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from mustang 46 in. cut zero turn steering wheel I bought this because I have shoulder problems. The steering wheel zero turn really helps with my shoulder problems. The mower is the best cutting machine that I've ever owned. Just changed oil and am delighted with the performance so far. Being zero turn it cuts down on run time to keep the 2 lawns cut weekly.
