Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

how much is noise level at low speed.

Asked by: asu26
Hi asu26 - Thank you for reaching out to us at GE Appliances and for your interest in a new GE room air conditioner. I am happy to assist you. With few exceptions, sone or decibel ratings are not available for room air conditioners They are not all rated for sound performance. Models that are, will show the rating in the specifications. This model is not one that is rated. With residential air conditioners, sound levels are actually more dependent on installation factors than on the sound produced by the unit. The installation variables can depend on (but is not limited to): -Location of the unit (ex. attic, etc.) -Type of unit (wall or window mounted) -The manner in which it is installed I understand this is information you would like to have and apologize for any inconvenience. Regards, Vikki@GEA

If it has water inside it from rain is it okay to power it on

Asked by: Cyn_818
Hello Cyn_818, Thank you for reaching out to us. This is an excellent question and we'll be glad to help. It is normal for the base pan in an air conditioner to fill with water. This water comes from condensate created as the air conditioner draws moisture from the indoor air. It also comes from collected rainwater. You are okay to power it on. This may cause the air conditioner to drip water outside, but this is normal. We hope this is helpful information! - Guy@GEA

Our unit ran about 250 hours before a flashing "filter" light came on. The GE troubleshooting page says to clean the filter (obviously) and press the "reset filter" button, but there is no "reset filter" button and the unit stops running after 10 minutes.

Asked by: Jackson79
Hi Jackson79, Thanks for reaching out! Based on the pictures that we're seeing on the unit's product page, the unit has a pad titled FILTER on the far right hand side of the control panel on the face of the unit. Once you insert the clean, dry filter into the unit, you can press this button to reset the internal filter timer for the unit. You can also take a look at the following article for more tips that may help if your unit is not running: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16767 We hope that this helps! Stay safe.

Do I have to worry about carcinogenic materials in your window air conditioners?  I see prop 65 warnings.

Asked by: Katey48
Hi there, Katey48, Great question! We comply with all federal, state and international requirements regarding hazardous substances and meet those standards. We also comply with federal and state chemical labeling laws, like California Proposition 65. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or poses a health risk. Over 800 chemicals are on this list, including wood dust, nickel (found in stainless steel), nicotine, and alcohol. Additionally, even inaccessible parts can cause the warning. We can certainly understand your concern; however, we do not provide detailed information about what causes the Prop 65 warning to apply. Thanks so much for checking!

i'm planning to install this AC without the side panels, what is the smallest window width i can install this air conditioner into ?

Asked by: Kevin BBB
Hi Kevin BBB, Thanks for reaching out to us. We apologize for the delay in our reply. If you're wanting to install this unit without the side curtain panels, you would need to measure the window opening from the bottom up to make sure that it is, at minimum, 19" wide all the way up. If you need to view the installation instructions again, you can view them here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000469.pdf We hope that this helps and that you're staying safe.

Purchased AC 10 months ago and it has stopped producing cold air. We attempted to reset with no luck. Is there a warranty on the system? How do we get a new one/fix this one? System does power on and run through buttons fine - no cold air

Asked by: jessicam
Hi jessicam, Thanks for reaching out to us. We apologize for the delay in our reply. We're sorry to hear about your air conditioner not cooling well, we know that must be frustrating. If you have not done so already, please take a look at the following article to see if the information inside helps: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18860 If you attempted all of those tips and you're still experiencing issues, you can take a look at the details of your warranty on page 17 of your Owner's Manual, here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000469.pdf We hope that this helps! My air conditioner will not stay running unless you constantly adjust the temperature up and down. If you stop, it shuts off, and beeps and the lights flash. It is less then a year old. What is wrong. How do I fix it

Asked by: Anonymous
It could be quite a few things, but most likely the electronic control system is malfunctioning, and or the electronic thermistor which measures the air temperature leaving has malfunctioned. In short, there's nothing you can do, only a qualified technician can only troubleshoot the electronics. GE has to provide help, there may be a known issue with circuit board failures. You'll have to contact them. You should not be having an issue like that with a unit only a year old.
