Rent to own a PlayStation 5 and experience lightning-fast load times and immersive gaming without paying the full price upfront. An ultra-fast SSD allows you to hop in and out of games seamlessly, while the PS5 DualSense wireless controller delivers haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for an unparalleled and visceral experience. With 8K output, ray-tracing technology, and up to 120 frames per second, your gaming experience has never been smoother, and with low monthly payments and no credit needed†, it's never been more accessible. PlayStation offers exclusive games (sold separately from third-party retailers), including Spider Man: Miles Morales, Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and God of War Ragnarök.
Elevate your gaming experience with a rent to own Xbox Series X. Its custom SSD reduces load times and enables Quick Resume for seamless game switching. Enjoy stunning graphics with 12 teraflops of processing power, 4K output, HDR, and up to 120 frames per second, all with low monthly payments and no credit needed†. Xbox also offers an exclusive library of games, including Sea of Thieves, Halo Infinite, and Forza Horizon 5 (sold separately from third-party retailers). Get the best of both worlds when you lease to own a Nintendo Switch, with mobile and console gaming in one system. Play on the go with Handheld mode, plug into your TV with the Switch dock and Joy-Con controllers, or prop up the portable screen and play in Tabletop mode. For an extra-immersive mobile experience, try the new OLED model, which displays vibrant colors and deep contrast on its built-in screen. It all comes with low monthly payments and no credit needed†. Nintendo offers exclusive games from beloved franchises like Super Smash Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Mario Kart (sold separately from third-party retailers).

Frequently Asked Questions
How does renting a gaming console work at Aaron’s?
Getting started is simple. First, shop our
gaming consoles and pick the one you want. Next, complete our quick application to find out your Leasing Power
SM, the total monthly amount you have available to lease products. You can discover your Leasing Power
SM during checkout. Once you’re approved and sign your lease agreement, we’ll call to schedule your free delivery and setup.
Why should I rent a game console rather than buy?
Renting to own lets you get the console now without paying the full price upfront. You make low monthly payments, and you own it when you complete your lease or choose an early purchase option. No credit is needed to apply,† and repairs are included while you’re leasing. If your plans change, you can return your console to your local store.
Can I rent a PS5 or Xbox with no credit?
Yes. No Credit Needed doesn’t mean we skip checking your credit history or creditworthiness, and it isn’t a credit transaction. Aaron’s may check your credit history, but no established credit history is required to apply. Approval isn’t guaranteed, and verification of identity is required.†
What does it cost to rent a PS5, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch per month?
Your monthly price depends on the console and the length of the lease agreement you choose. For example, you could own a
PlayStation 5 for as little as $60 a month with a 12-month lease agreement. Want a lower payment? Many products offer 18-month and 24-month agreements too. That same console costs just $36 a month on a 24-month lease. Check each
Xbox or
Nintendo Switch product page for its exact monthly price.
Can I pay off my gaming console lease early?
Yes. You can purchase your product at any time. If your lease ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can use Aaron’s Same As Cash Option to pay the Cash Price, plus tax and applicable fees, within the Same As Cash period. This period varies by location but is generally 120 days (90 days for California residents). After the Same As Cash period ends, you can use the Early Purchase Option, which costs more than the Cash Price but less than paying out your full lease ownership plan. Details vary by state and are explained in your lease agreement.
What happens if I need to pause or return my lease?
Life happens, and Aaron’s Lifetime Reinstatement benefit has you covered. If you’re ever unable to make your lease payments, you can return your merchandise, and you won’t owe any future lease payments. When you’re ready to start leasing again, you can pick up right where you left off on the same or comparable value merchandise, on the same lease ownership plan. You’ll need to reapply and be approved to reinstate, and some items are excluded. Other restrictions may apply.*
Are gaming consoles and PCs protected against damage?
Repairs are included while you’re leasing, so if your console or PC isn’t working the way it should, we’ll take care of it. You can also add Aaron’s Protection+, an optional add-on that covers your leased item if it’s stolen or destroyed beyond repair by an Act of God. It doesn’t cover deliberate damage or damage due to carelessness. Ask your local store about adding it to your lease.
