Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise. Lawn equipment, seasonal items, and special order merchandise are excluded from the lifetime reinstatement benefit. See a store associate for complete details.

How to clear filter light after filter is cleaned and installed?

Asked by: Damemo
Hello, It's nice to hear from you today. We hope you are doing well and taking it easy. We're definitely happy to help out with this, we know it can be kind of annoying seeing that light stay on. All you have to do is press and hold the Reset Filter pad, it is right in the middle of the plus and minus for changing temperature and time. This will disable the light for 240 hours of operation. We hope this helps out some, let us know if you are having any more issues. We are always happy to help out. Thank you for being the best part of GE Appliances. Jonathon@GEA

To avoid getting ice in the AC what is the best recommendation for that

Asked by: Susan lusardi
Hi there! Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We are happy to help. To avoid getting any ice in your unit, we recommend periodically emptying you base pan. Water will collect in the base pan from pulling moisture out of the air. You base pan is located at the bottom of the unit. We appreciate you checking with us. We hope this helps! - Adrian@GEA

In ECO mode thermostat seems to always say 72, although the room is 79 or 80. Switching to COOL, fan starts and thermostat starts to show actual temperature. Why does it not show actual temp in ECO, and how does it know when to start compressor?

Asked by: laxsteve
Hello! Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We are more than happy to provide guidance with this air conditioner. The ECO mode on this model air conditioner controls the fan. When the unit is on ECO mode, the fan will cycle on and off with the compressor. This may result in wider variations of room temperature and humidity, which is why the thermostat is displaying the 72 degrees. When ECO mode is off, the fan runs all the time, while the compressor cycles on and off. The unit knows when to start and stop the compressor based on the temperature of the room and the desired cooling setting. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. We hope this helps! - Adrian@GEA

Used it last week with no problem. Now the filter reset button is on and all lights are lit. I pulled out filter and put back in, pressed the reset button. Also reset the button on the plug. It powers on a few seconds with all lights lit, then shuts off.

Hello Kaya17 - Thanks for reaching out to us, and we apologize for our delayed response on this. We are so sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with this air conditioner, and can certainly understand why this would be frustrating. Please disconnect power to the air conditioner for two to three minutes, this will reset the electronic components and hopefully restore normal functioning. I purchased this unit in April 2020 for my daughter's small room. Up until this day, it still doesn't cool. I tried to give it some time to see if maybe it was on our end, but the unit doesn't go lower than 80. It's too late to return now, what can I do?

Asked by: CRISN
Hello CRISN, Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about your air conditioner not cooling properly, we know that can be frustrating. This may be happening for one or more reasons. The temp control may not be set properly. This can be fixed by turning the temperature to a higher setting. Another possible reason is that the air flow may be restricted. For this, make sure there are no curtains, blinds or furniture blocking the front of the air conditioner. If the issue persists you can look in the owners manual on page 14 for further troubleshooting tips. It can also be found at this link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000096.pdf If these troubleshooting tips do not resolve your issue, we recommend you schedule service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. To schedule an appointment, you can do so here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm Hope this helps!

Asked by: bigsadiebulldogmyhotnuts
Hi Anonymous, thanks for checking with us! We're sorry to hear that your air conditioner isn't cooling as well as you'd like. We recommend that you check outdoor temperatures. Operating a room air conditioner if the outdoor temp is 70F or below will limit the cooling capacity of the unit. Also, you can check to see if there is ice on the coils and make sure that the filter is clean, as these things can also affect the unit's efficiency. For more information, please see page 14 of your owner's manual, linked below. https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000096.pdf We hope this helps! -Megan@GEA

Do all models have a subbase water plug?  I cannot find one or the hole and the AC is so loud with water splaying around inside unit.  I was hoping to empty some water out.  Thanks

Asked by: Lori2012
Hello Lori2012, Thank you so much for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. Many models, including this one, do not have a drain plug. The water picked up by the fan blade is flung onto the hot condenser coils to evaporate and to help cool the coils. Allowing the unit to do this makes it perform more effectively. We hope this information helps. Best wishes!
