Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise. Lawn equipment, seasonal items, and special order merchandise are excluded from the lifetime reinstatement benefit. See a store associate for complete details.

Is there a plate that fits over the opening in the back of the freezer?

Asked by: KimX
Hi KimX, Thank you for reaching out and choosing GE Appliances. Some upright and chest freezers do not come with a rear cover plate where the power cord comes out, even though the case may have holes where screws could go. A cover plate cannot be added to these models. Keep in touch! Dom@GEA

Can you adjust the hinges to keep the opening around 70 degrees?

Asked by: DB12345678
Hi there DB12345678, We are happy to look into this for you. The only "stopping" location for the hinges upon opening is at the 90 degree mark. We hope this helps and have a great day. Drew@GEA

Will I use a 15 amp wall outlet or a 20 amp outlet?

Asked by: ricbrack
Hi ricbrack, Thank you for your question! The freezer should always be plugged into its own individual electrical outlet which has a voltage rating that matches the rating plate. A 115 Volt AC, 60 Hz, 15- or 20-amp fused, grounded electrical supply is required. The choice on either 15 or 20 amp outlet is something that we are unable to determine since that is specific to your home. We recommend checking with your local city ordinance codes. We hope you find this helpful! Steven@GEA

Interested in purchasing, what is the wattage used for this model?

Asked by: Angieko922
Hi Angieko922, Awesome question! Thank you for your interest in this amazing freezer! We appreciate you reaching out to us. We would like to apologize for the late response. The running amps are 1.35 for this freezer. You would want to double that for when the compressor kicks in. As for the total wattage, we would use the calculation of (Volts x Amps= Wattage) which is 162 watts during standard runtime. Hope this was helpful! Jonathon@GEA

Is there a weight limitation for freezer contents? I don't see any limit in specifications (model FCM11PH).

Asked by: gzbm
Hi gzbm - Thank you for reaching out to us at GE Appliances and for your interest in a new GE freezer. There are many factors that contribute to the volume of food that your freezer will hold including the physical size and shape of each item. In general, a freezer will hold 30 to 35 pounds per cubic foot. This model is rated at 10.6 cubic foot capacity. Please note: the maximum amount of food that your freezer can freeze at one time is 3 pounds per cubic foot. After allowing 24 hours for that to freeze, you can then add another 3 pounds per cubic foot. I hope this helps! Vikki@GEA

What is the minimum attainable temperature for an ambient temperature of 70 deg F? Don’t answer “the surrounding temperature should be between 0 and 110 F”. The one thing a freezer needs to do and I can’t find it specified anywhere.

Asked by: How cold quantitatively
Hello, Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry you've had a difficult time figuring out the minimal attainable temperature for a temperature of 70 degrees F. We'll be happy to help you out. What is the running wattage? We are trying to figure out how big a generator to get for when the electricity goes out.

Asked by: ILoveFood
Hi ILoveFood - Thank you for reaching out to us at GE Appliances and for having purchased a new GE chest freezer. The running amps for this unit is 1.35. We do recommend multiplying that by 2 to account for the momentary surge when the compressor kicks on. You take that figure and multiply it by the voltage (120) to arrive at wattage (volts x amps = watts). I wish you the best. Vikki@GEA

Can this freezer be plugged into a power strip?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello - Thank you for your question; we are happy to help! We do not recommend connecting a refrigerator or freezer to a surge protector. The compressor is sensitive to temperature and current overloads, and will shut itself down with a surge. It will also restart itself. A surge protector will override this system, and if there is a power surge, your refrigerator may not restart. This could cause food spoilage. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us at: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/contact.htm Thanks for checking.
