Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

What are the amps

Asked by: naughty
Hi naughty, Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in GE Appliances. We are happy to help. All of our freezers (excluding international units) function at 115 VAC, 60 Hz and have approximately a 5 amp draw. Freezers typically draw extra current during start up (approx. 2x). The freezer should be on a dedicated circuit. This is recommended for best performance and to prevent overloading house wiring circuits. The exact amps that an individual freezer draws is on the rating plate and should be used if placing the freezer on a generator or other auxiliary power source. Chase@GEA

in your specifications does "overall depth" include air clearance?

Asked by: CLaHabra
Hi CLaHabra, thanks for checking with us! The overall depth does not include air clearances. This freezer model requires 3" of space on the top, both sides, and back for proper air flow as noted in the installation instructions. We hope this helps! -Megan@GEA

I see several people have asked about wheels. You state there are two wheels in the back and leveling legs in the front. How do you move the freezer if there are only two wheels? Thanks!!

Asked by: Saber Don
Hello Saber Don, Thank you for reaching out to us about this amazing freezer. This is a great question and we are more than happy to help. The wheels are used to make slight adjustments to the refrigerator and are not typically used solely to move from one place to another. It is important to follow the below instructions when moving a freezer. This includes moving an existing freezer to a new location or purchasing a new freezer and transporting it home. Please use the following steps when relocating an upright freezer: 1.Disconnect the power cord from the wall receptacle. 2.Remove the food, defrost, and clean the freezer. 3.Use blankets to protect the freezer finish from scratches. 4.When transporting, keep the freezer in the upright position. Please note that with this method there is no waiting time required before plugging the unit in. 5. If transporting it in an upright position is not possible, lay it down on the compressor side of the unit. Be careful to secure the door to prevent it from opening. Set it upright in its final location and allow the freezer to sit for the same amount of time that it was on its side (24 hrs max.). Do not plug the unit into the electrical receptacle without allowing this settling time. The unit can be damaged if it is plugged in prematurely. We hope that this information helps, feel free to reach out again with any other questions you may have. Have a great day!-Avery @GEA

You state that 0 degrees is the recommended setting but mine is not reaching that with 2 different thermometers.  I have scheduled a service call, but they can’t get to me until Dec 2.  I tried unplugging it for 2 min but it stays on plus 6 setting.

Asked by: JBoo
Hi JBoo, Thank you for your question. I'm sorry to hear that your freezer does not seem to be cooling enough. Temperature measurements in the freezer should never be made of the air. Air temperature fluctuates during defrost and during door openings. The best way to measure temperature is to place a bulb type or candy thermometer that is capable of reading below zero temperatures directly into a container of food or liquid that has been in the freezer for at least twenty-four (24) hours. I hope that service was able to help with your temperature issue. If you are still having problems with the temperature in your freezer, please contact us at 1-800-432-2737. Jess@GEA

Can this model FUF14DLRWW be used in the house instead of the garage ? Thanks

Asked by: Couskae
Hi Couskae, Thank you for your question. Our garage ready freezers can absolutely be used in the home rather than a garage. Garage ready simply means that our freezers have been tested to perform in a wider range of temperatures - between 0F and 110F. I hope this helps. Jess@GEA

I have an ideal spot for this freezer in my garage, but the cord is too short to reach the outlet. Can I use an extension cord rated for appliances to extend it?

Asked by: MJC_CA
Hi MJC_CA, We appreciate your question. We strongly recommend that an extension cord not be used with a freezer due to the potential safety hazards under certain conditions. However, if an extension cord is used, it is absolutely necessary that it be a UL® listed 3-wire grounding appliance extension cord, and that the current carry rating of the cord be a minimum of 15 amp and 120 volts. I hope this helps. Jess@GEA

The freezer will be in a basement. We are in a coastal region & there is occasional minor flooding, tho we have a sump pump. To be safe, how can we raise the freezer off the floor safely ? Some recommend cinder blocks, wooden pallets . Are these ok ?

Asked by: Linda ON
Hello Linda ON, We appreciate you reaching out. We're happy to provide an answer to your question. Per the manual (page 12), we can only recommend: "Install your freezer on a floor strong enough to support it when it is fully loaded." We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Best wishes!

Purchased FUF14DLRWW Garage ready Freezer, when pluged in temperature at "0" is that the best temperature or should it I adjust?

Asked by: whatsnotused
Hi whatsnotused - Thank you for reaching out to us at GE Appliances and for having purchased a new GE Upright Freezer. I am happy to assist you. The default temperature setting is 0 degrees. You can adjust the temperature up or down to suit your personal preferences. As an example, if you are storing ice cream and find the ice cream is a little softer or a little harder than you like, you can adjust the temperature control 1 degree at a time until it reaches your preferred consistency. We would recommend allowing the temperature to stabilize at your new setting for several hours before adjusting it again. I do hope you find this helpful. Regards, Vikki@GEA
