Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

Can the door be reversed?

Asked by: Stupid4865
Good afternoon, We appreciate having you in our wonderful GEA family and are thrilled you are interested in the freezer. We are happy to check on the compatibility of the door on this model! Unfortunately, all of our upright freezer models have right hand doors only. The hinges are only on one side of this unit and are not reverse compatible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any additional questions, feel free to check with us again. Have a great day! Drew@GEA

The turbo freeze mode is still on after almost 20 hours, all the food that was placed in is frozen now. I tried to get it to reset without turbo freeze, but it won't do it. Is the Turbo freeze light suppose to stay on all the time?

Asked by: beajay2831
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! Turbo Freeze is a feature available on many upright freezer models. When this feature is turned on, it will cause the freezer to cool to the lowest temperature and hold that temperature for 8 hours unless manually turned off. When the door is opened the fan will turn off, so it is normal to feel little to no air flow. When in Turbo Freeze mode the evaporator temperature is much colder, so even though the fan is not on a gentle breeze may be felt due to the natural convection created by the much colder air temperature. To activate Turbo Freezer, press the Turbo Freeze pad until the ON light illuminates. Turbo Freeze will remain on for 8 hours and then go off automatically. At that time, the Turbo Freeze ON light goes off. You can turn off Turbo Freeze earlier than the 8 hours by simply pressing the Turbo Freeze pad. If your freezer is not operating as described above, please disconnect power to the unit for two to three minutes. This will reset the electronic components and hopefully restore normal functioning. Should the issue persist, this will require service by a qualified technician. You can schedule an appointment with a GE Appliance technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

I get a first build up on my freezer items. I live in Texas and the humidity has been unusually high lately. I wasn't sure if that could be the problem or if there's a problem with the freezer. I bought this in January 2021.

Asked by: Texasmama123
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us. Frost inside the freezer comes from moisture-laden air that enters the cabinet or from moisture drawn out of the food inside the cabinet. Moisture is not drawn out of foods that are covered or tightly wrapped. Thus, ice particles inside a freezer bag come from moisture that has been drawn out of the food but prevented from reaching the evaporator because of the plastic bag. Avoid this happening by: Tightly wrapping all food and expelling excess air from the package. Remove the plastic covering provided by the store and repackage the food in an appropriate material like freezer paper. For best results, double wrap it. This may also be due to the door not fully closing or if the door is being opened too frequently or for too long. This frost build up is not unusual during periods of high humidity. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

How much power in amps does this freezer draw? What gauge extension cord can be safely used?

Asked by: CG2021
Hi there! Thank you for connecting with us for your question. We are happy to help. A 20-amp fused, grounded electrical supply is required. We do not recommend using an extension cord with this unit, because it could cause possible safety hazards such as fire, electrical shock or death. Thank you for checking with us. We hope this helps! - Adrian@GEA

I asked a question about the temperature display on the outside of the freezer door, and the answer addressed a temperature display on the inside of this freezer. Is there a temperature reading also inside the freezer? Was "inside" a mistake?

Asked by: isabeetle
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us! We apologize for the confusion. This model does not have a temperature display inside the unit. The only temperature display is found on the front of the door. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

Is the temperature display on the freezer door the actual temperature inside the freezer, or only the temperature setting that has been selected? Do I need to place a thermometer inside the freezer to know for sure?

Asked by: isabeetle
Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to check with us about the freezer temperature. We are happy to provide some information for you! The temperature display on the inside of this freezer will allow you to set the temperature and after a short time of not pressing the buttons, it will then display the interior temperature of the freezer. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us again. Have a great day! Drew@GEA

What should the temperature on the door be set at? It shows 0 degree F

Asked by: SMAM
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! The correct operating temperature of chest and upright freezers, including smaller, compact models is -5 to +5 degrees Fahrenheit. In order to take the temperature of solid food, place a thermometer between frozen packages or in some ice cream. We would recommend a temperature setting of 0 degrees Fahrenheit. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA
