Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise. Lawn equipment, seasonal items, and special order merchandise are excluded from the lifetime reinstatement benefit. See a store associate for complete details.

How high does the temperature get during defrost mode? I have a TempStick in mine and it's showing the temperature going up to 20 degrees 3 times a day. Is this normal?

Asked by: TodddH
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! The warmest the food temperature should get at any point, including during a defrost cycle is +6 degrees. Keeping in mind the variables that affect normal operation, ie. door openings, food load, etc. When taking a temperature measurement in the freezer section: Use a bulb type or candy thermometer that is capable of measuring below zero degrees. Place the thermometer in between two packages of food that have been in the freezer for more than 24 hours on the middle shelf (or as close to the middle of the unit as possible) and leave it there for at least three minutes. Putting the thermometer in ice cream that has been in the freezer for at least 12 hours is the best way to check the temperature. Remember to wait at least three minutes before reading the thermometer. If the food temperature is registering higher than +6 degrees, this will require service: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

What is the lowest temperature setting for this freezer?

Asked by: Zestelle
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! The correct operating temperature of upright freezers is -5 to +5 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the range that you can set on this model. In order to take the temperature of solid food, place a thermometer between frozen packages or in some ice cream. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

Keeps beeping in the middle of the night and wakes my husband up. How can this be stopped?

Asked by: Jotass
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us! We are so sorry to hear that your freezer is making this noise in the middle of the night. You must be quite frustrated. If the door alarm or high temperature alarm is going off without reason please disconnect power to the unit for two to three minutes. This will reset the electronic components and hopefully restore normal functioning. Should the issue persist, this will require service by a qualified technician. You can schedule an appointment with a GE Appliance technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

Hello, I want to put this on my enclosed back patio which is covered with that green artificial grass type covering/"carpet". Can this freezer be put directly on it --our old freezer is directly on it but my brother thinks I should put a board under it

Asked by: KrisBeni
Hi there! Thank you for your interest in GE Appliances. We are happy to provide guidance with this freezer. You can still install this freezer on the artificial turf, but you must allow 3" (76mm) on the top, back, and sides of this unit for proper air circulation. Hi, our alarm went off because I didn't close the door all the way. Duh! So we reset it, but now it is flashing a "v" next to "0:" I haven't seen that before What does it mean?

Hi! We appreciate you connecting with us for your question. We are more than happy to help. The flashing V indicates that the temperature is lower than the desired setting. You will need to reset your refrigerator by disconnecting power from the unit for 2-3 minutes and reconnecting. This reset will revert your refrigerator back to normal operating function.
