Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise. Lawn equipment, seasonal items, and special order merchandise are excluded from the lifetime reinstatement benefit. See a store associate for complete details.

A couple of customers noted in their reviews that the freezer was missing the cover on the back where the power cord comes out. There are screw holes for a cover. My freezer also lacks a cover. Is this a missing part?

Asked by: david661
Hello, It's awesome to hear from you. Thank you for the question, we are happy to clear this up. This model actually doesn't come with a cover plate, the reason it seems like it is missing is due to us reusing previous blueprints that did include the cover on this model. The lack of the cover doesn't impair the unit and it still performs efficiently. This is one of our top models and we hope it continues to help keep that food frozen for any occasion. Let us know if you have any additional questions. We're always here to help. Thank you for being a part of the GE Appliances family. Jonathon@GEA

Can you put this freezer outside in a place with a temperate climate (year round temp range from 35-100, but usually from 50-80), as long as it is under a roof to protect it from the sun and rain?

Asked by: Goma123
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us, and for your interest in this chest freezer. This is a great question! Take advantage of stock-up opportunities with our garage-ready freezers like this one. 2018 and newer upright and chest freezers are garage ready and are proven to perform at room temperatures ranging between 0 degrees F. and 110 degrees F. While we recommend that this be installed in a garage or indoors, your setting sounds like the unit would be protected from the elements which is important. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

Looking for apparent power consumption (in VA).  I see it’s rated for a 15A/120V outlet, but I’ll need to run this off a generator if power fails in a hurricane event, so watching total load on generator is critical.

Asked by: HurricaneLou
Hey there, we'll be glad to assist you. All of our chest freezers (excluding international units) have an approximate 5 amp draw. In addition, freezers typically draw extra current during start up (approximately 2x the running amp draw). We hope that helps! Guy@GEA

If I set my temperature to “max” will that keep it between the needed -5 to 5 degrees? Mine just arrived yesterday and I want to make sure it’s turned to the correct spot!

Asked by: Chantel7
Hi Chantel7, Thank you for reaching out to us and choosing GE Appliances for your home. We understand your concern and are happy to help with your temperature question. We hope you enjoy your new freezer! Setting the temperature on max will still allow it to stay within the -5 to 5 degree range. You are able to adjust the temperature setting to where you would like the desired setting to be. If you want colder or warmer temperatures, adjust the control one step at a time. Allow several hours after each one-step adjustment for the freezer temperature to stabilize. Please reach out to us again soon. Enjoy your day. Del@GEA

i have the temp. on 2 away from max. is this too cold for the unit?

Asked by: vocal
Hi vocal, This is a great question about this freezer! With freezers like this there is no "right" or "wrong" temperature, it really comes down to what you prefer. If you notice things freezing more than you'd like them to then we recommend turning the temperature one notch at a time. The correct operating temperature of chest and upright freezers, including smaller, compact models is -5 to +5 degrees Fahrenheit. In order to take the temperature of solid food, place a thermometer between frozen packages or in some ice cream. However, having the unit 2 away from the max temperature should not be an issue. If you begin to notice issues with the temperature feel free to reach out to us again! We will post the link to the use and care manual below. This shows how to properly use the temperature controls with this freezer! https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000422.pdf We hope this helps and have a great weekend! Most appliance specs include the voltage and amperage. I couldn't find them in the specs portion of the information. Maybe someone could help me out. I assume it is 120 volt, but does it need a dedicated circuit?

Hi SRex, Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in GE Appliances. That is a great question and we are happy to help. The minimum and maximum voltage range for our freezers is 102V to 132V. We recommend a 115 or 120 volt, 15 or 20 amp dedicated circuit for optimal performance. Hi AngelaClearWater! Thanks for your question. You can move the freezer inside. The freezer must be solidly positioned on the floor to function at its best. Your freezer has adjustable leveling legs that can be turned to be solidly positioned wherever the floor is too uneven.
