Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

Getting 2" clearance in the back might be difficult, due to placement of my gas oven w/handle. Would 1.75" be enough in a pinch?

Asked by: LizinMpls
Hello LizinMpls - Thanks for reaching out to us, and we apologize for our delayed response. This is a great question. 1" to 2" in the back of the refrigerator is needed for proper air clearance. In your case, 1.75 inches will work just fine. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

does this fridge have the climate-friendly R600a refrigerant or the older R134a? I cannot find this information anywhere.

Asked by: Apoland
Hi Apoland, Thank you for reaching out. That is an excellent question. We started transitioning our refrigerators over to R600a refrigerant in 2019, and all models produced after 1/1/2020 use R600a refrigerant. We began production on this model in December of 2019. To confirm that your unit uses R600a, please check the rating plate, as the refrigerant used is listed there. Thanks for checking! Jess@GEA

How do you turn the leveling legs once they're already resting on the floor (since the weight of the refrigerator is now on them, it's not possible to simply turn them like the manual shows)? Is the only way to somehow jack up the refrigerator?

Asked by: AnthonyPA12
Hi AnthonyPA12 - Thank you for reaching out to us at GE Appliances. I am happy to assist you. Even with the weight of the refrigerator resting on the legs you should be able to level the unit according to the directions on Page 11 of the Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60801-2.pdf It would not be necessary to jack up the refrigerator in order to level the legs. If you are continuing to have difficulty with this, please contact us via email: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/contact.htm so we can discuss the situation further. Does this refrigerator have conderser coils? My previous one required coils to be cleaned once a year.

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi there, Great question! Newer automatic defrost refrigerators have a NeverClean Condenser that doesn't require cleaning or maintenance. The condenser coils are located in the compressor housing instead of on the back, keeping them clean and functioning optimally. The coils will not require cleaning under normal condition since they are encased. While it is not necessary for the performance of the refrigerator, if you want to clean dust, pet hair, etc. off the floor beneath the refrigerator, an appliance brush or vacuum with a hose attachment can be used. Thanks so much for checking!

Plastic film on smooth white door. Should I remove it? How?

Asked by: Sheila75
Hello Sheila75 - Congratulations on your new refrigerator purchase! To remove a protective film, try using your fingernail across part of the door rather than trying to peel a corner. If there is a film there, it will crease or bubble and may also get it started. Thanks for checking!

is there a separate temperature control for the freezer? I see only the one knob in the refrigerator.

Asked by: Rivin
Hi Rivin- The refrigerator has a single control. The freezer supplies cold air to both compartments. Cold air is circulated from the freezer to the fresh food compartment via a vent. The fresh food control regulates how long the compressor runs, and in effect, how cold both compartments can become. View a video online regarding setting the temperature controls: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fk8X4jsGNfg&index=8&list=PLX8_V2wHGuhkpF-Vd9FPuC6CqiPSUA7JY&t=0s Also, see page 5 of the Owner's Manual: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60801-1.PDF Thanks for choosing GE!

Food takes on a flavor and odor that almost smells like mold. Both frig and freezer have been washed and baking soda placed in to absorb the odor but it hasn't helped. Had the seal on freeze replaced a couple of months back. Any advice?

Asked by: coal
Hi coal- We are sorry to hear of the odor and can certainly understand your concern. Odors can be difficult to get rid of because the refrigerator is an enclosed area and may take some time even after thoroughly cleaned. Smells BeGone 12 fl oz. (wx10x25) is a deodorizer spray that is unscented, nontoxic, non staining and non allergenic which destroys odors and kills bacteria without leaving a fragrance behind. Purchase online: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/WX10X25 Activated charcoal is available in drug stores, or more commonly, in pet stores. Spread the activated charcoal in a small pan (such as a jellyroll pan) and place it in the refrigerator and/or the freezer. When the charcoal loses its effectiveness, it can be heated on low heat in the oven for a couple of hours to rejuvenate it. Activated charcoal is not the same as charcoal briquettes used for cooking on a grill. Vanilla extract can be used to freshen the fresh food compartment, but not the freezer (because it will freeze). Place it in a small dish or saucer and place in the fresh food compartment for about 3 weeks. We suggest to view the following link- ODORS IN REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16263 We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch!

We bought this for my mother. She loved it originally, Ice maker quite at about 1-yr/1 mo. Out of warranty. Now we have water on the kitchen floor and we cannot determine where it is coming from. The water line to the fridge has been off for months. Help

Asked by: SteveFP
Hi SteveFP- Thanks for choosing GE! We are sorry to hear of this unfortunate experience and glad to offer assistance. If ice has accumulated on the floor of the freezer or under the fresh food vegetable pans, this could indicate a clogged drain tube. Most top freezer models require some disassembly to access the defrost drain tube so service is recommended. Can you open both bottom refrigerator drawers with the door open 90 degrees or does it need to be opened wider?

Asked by: GatDesgn
hi GatDesgn- Thanks for viewing! The interior drawers can be accessed with the door(s) at 90 degrees. The product specifications list the "Width w/Door Open 90 Degrees:"http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=310433_gte18gth_c2.pdf Additional clearance may be needed: •To remove the drawers •To open the door(s) if the adjacent wall or cabinets are deeper than the refrigerator case depth (depth w/o doors) Below are the suggested clearances. Note the clearances are measured from the side of the refrigerator. If a product lists something different than below, use the product specifications. ◦1 1/2" for 90 degree door opening ◦2" is needed to remove the ice bucket (on some models) ◦16" is needed to remove the drawer next to hinge (unless the manual shows the bins can slide over). Does it make loud noise when it is running? How long is the on-off cycle? Does it only have one wwitch to control both freezer and frig? Do the items in freezer have frost?

Asked by: Curious37
Hi Curious37- We appreciate your consideration! The normal operation of the refrigerator will cause some sound. To view a short video about normal top freezer refrigerator sounds visit: https://www.youtube.com/embed/1KbRYkk5rWc?rel=0 We suggest to view the following link regarding refrigerator run time and factors that contribute to run time: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16932 The refrigerator is equipped with one control located in the fresh food section. For details, see page 4 of the Owner's Manual at the following link: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60695-1.pdf As food freezes, some of the moisture in the food is drawn to its surface and freezes as well. This can cause frost to appear inside packages or containers. Opening the freezer can cause warmer, moist air to enter the freezer. This may also become frost on packages as the air is cooled. These are normal occurrences and is not a problem. If the doors are opened frequently, left open, or even left slightly ajar, it would not be unusual to see a frost build-up on the shelves, packages, or walls.
