Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

Will this fridge work in my garage? What's the minimum temperature at which it will operate effectively?

Asked by: johnfhack
Hi johnfhack - We do not recommend installing a refrigerator where temperatures will go below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. At this temperature, the unit is less efficient and will continue to lose efficiency as the outdoor temperature decreases. At 32 degrees, there is no cooling capability at all. Also, we do not recommend installing a refrigerator where the temperature will exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit. How much weight does each shelf support?

Asked by: Dave_I_cordero
Hello Dave_I_cordero, I am happy to help. GE and Hotpoint refrigerator cantilever shelves, those that only have rear supports, are tested for 35 pounds per square foot. These shelves should not exceed 50 pounds total weight for full width shelves and 25 pounds for half width shelves. These same limitations hold true for glass and plastic vegetable bin covers. The Lexan® refreshment center door will hold up to 75 pounds. All other shelves are designed to hold up to 50 lbs An example of the weight of an average refrigerator item would be a gallon container. It weighs 8 pounds, and a full width shelf can hold 6 of them. A quart container weighs 2 pounds, and a full width shelf can hold 24. I hope this helps. We appreciate you checking with us.

Since the cold freezer air also cools the fresh food section, make sure the vents in the freezer are not blocked. What do I do? This fridge is 42 degrees and it is on the closest setting!

Asked by: Janet18
Hi Janet18- Properly measuring the temperature can help determine if the refrigerator is working properly. Temperature measurements in the fresh food and freezer compartments should never be made of the air. Air temperature fluctuates during defrost and during door openings. See the following link for details on measuring refrigerator temperatures: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=19479 If the refrigerator is running, but not cooling enough, several factors may influence the temperature. How do I go about removing the tinge of blue plastic covering the refrigerator without scratching it. Specifically around the door handles. Thanks in advance for your assistance in answering this question.

Asked by: Rush24
Hi Rush24- Thanks for your purchase! The static cling film that is applied to the refrigerator to prevent scratching during shipping should peel off easily. If you need to loosen the handle to remove the film, see page 12 of the Owner's Manual online at: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60746-4.pdf Thanks for checking with us!

It sounds like there is no defrost tray to be emptied?

Asked by: CAT4DT
Hello Cat4dt, This is Joyce from GE Appliances. I will be happy to help! This model is frost free it has an automatic defrost system that saves time and energy. It eliminates the necessity to defrost your freezer or fresh food compartments. The refrigerator is designed and equipped to defrost itself automatically. It accomplishes this by melting frost that accumulates on the evaporator during the normal refrigeration process. The heat naturally rises up to melt the ice for a programmed amount of time. No fans run during this defrost cycle. The cycle runs according to a programmed time. It is generally every 8 to 10 hours, and it lasts for approximately 25 minutes. The defrost water is deposited in the drain pan below your refrigerator, and it evaporates from the heat of the compressor. The cycle then automatically terminates itself. This process does not cause food to thaw. Thanks so much for checking with us. Have a good day!
