Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). I see the dryer can be vented to the left, right or rear of machine. Is this field convertible or does it have to be ordered as right venting for example.

Asked by: Richinthe732
Hi there, This is a great question and we appreciate the opportunity to help you with this! This model is able to be vented in the different locations you have specified. However, you do not need to order it specifically for where you will be venting it. This model has all of these venting options directly out of the box. We hope this helps and if you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us again. Have a great day! Drew@GEA

What are the lengths of the cycles for the washer and dryer?

Asked by: mcq462
Hello! Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We are happy to provide guidance. The length of the cycles for the washer and dryer vary due to multiple factors such as load size, how soiled the clothing is, how dry/wet the load is, and what fabric is being washed or dried. Washer won't spin or drain

Asked by: Jtfue1
Hello! Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We are so sorry to hear you're having issues with your washer. We are happy to help. Since you are having troubles with the spin and drain operation on this model GUD27ESSMWW unit, we recommend resetting it. Is the DRYER DOOR reversible on this W/D?

Asked by: BVWollner
Good afternoon, We want to thank you for reaching out to us and the opportunity to answer this great question! Many of our front load washers are not capable of reversing the doors due to the electronics within our locking mechanisms. The washers lock after a cycle is started and the locking mechanism is only installed on one side of the washer, so the doors are not capable of having the hinges reversed. There are a few exceptions to this, however, not with our Spacemaker models. We apologize for this inconvenience. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us again. Have a great weekend! Drew@GEA

We just got this washer/dryer combo. My wife has started out with a small load but the water level is so small it doesn't cover all the items. There seems to be no way to increase the level to cover everything

Asked by: Hursh
Hello, Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We understand your concern and are here to help! This washer uses adaptive fill. Washers use load sensing and adaptive water fill to provide just the right amount of water for best performance and low water usage. The wash basket will turn briefly and assess the weight of the load. It will also do this after the load is saturated with water to assess how absorbent the load is. With the load weight and load type it can apply the proper amount of water to wash the load. We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Del@GEA

If I dont turn the washer dial to "off" the lights come on if I just lift and close the lid without putting anything in the washer. Is this normal? Do I need to turn the dial to "off" after each wash to prevent this?

Asked by: mojo21
Hello - Thanks for reaching out to us and we apologize for our delayed response. This is a great question! What you have described is in fact considered normal. You will want to keep the washer cycle dial in the "off" position when not in use to prevent this from occurring. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. - Trey@GEA

the model I ordered was gud27essmww but the unit shows gud27essm1ww. Why is there the number 1 included before the ww in the model I received? Is it different than the model that does not include the number 1 ?

Asked by: mojo21
Hi there, This is a great question and we are happy to provide some information regarding this! These are the same model. The number 1 on the model you received designates when the model was made. These numbers help us to determine when the model was manufactured in the year and have nothing to do with the product itself. The same reason you might see gud27essm2ww later on in the year. However, this has no effect on the model or any of its features. We appreciate having you in our wonderful GEA family and thank you for reaching out to us. I received the washer dryer with flexible tubing to vent the dryer. At one end of the exhaust tubing was a metal box labeled secondary lint trap. Can the secondary lint trap be attached directly to the dryer exhaust port ? or opposite end to vent outside

Asked by: JDBA
Hello JDBA - We hope all is well with you and that you are staying safe. Thank you so much for reaching out with this amazing question. The secondary lint trap is typically used and connected in conjunction with a dryer vent fan booster for situations where the dryer ductwork has a long travel to the outside. It would help catch any lint that the main screen wouldn't during the travel. We recommend checking out this article for some in depth information: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21080 Stay safe. Why is there no agitator in the washer?

Asked by: IMGD
Hi IMGD, Thank you for reaching out and choosing GE Appliances. There is no agitator in the washer because there is an Infusor. A washer with an infusor is a high efficiency washing machine. This system requires less water while providing effective cleaning action. You may notice that the water level is lower than on your previous washer. Thanks for checking! Dom@GEA

What kind of detergent can I use with this Laundry Center GUD27ESSMWW ? Regular detergent or HE (High Efficient) detergent? Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you.

Asked by: spen1
Hi spen1, Thank you for choosing GE Appliances. We recommend the use of High Efficiency detergents such as Tide HE in your energy efficient washer. HE detergents are formulated to work with low water wash and rinse systems. HE detergents reduce the over sudsing problems commonly associated with regular detergents. Thanks for checking! Dom@GEA

How many gallons of water does this washer use on average per load?

Asked by: SteveRH
Hi there SteveRH, Thank you for reaching out to us about this fantastic Spacemaker washer and dryer combo, we are happy to shed some light on the amount of water per cycle! After looking at the average water usage of your washer, on the manual wash cycle it has a minimum usage of 12 gallons and a maximum water usage of 22 gallons. On average this models will use about 15 gallons on the wash cycles and if you are simply using a the rinse cycle it uses about 6 gallons. These numbers vary depending on additional selections that are added to each cycle, things like soil level, material of clothing, size of load, etc. We appreciate you taking the time to check with us on this, if you have any additional questions, feel free to connect with us again. Is there a trick to make it get thru other cycles than just the wash cycle. The first 3 loads were very wet, so I ran it back thru drain and spin. watched close on the 4th, it never changed. Wash was the only indicator light ever on.

Asked by: lesak
Hello lesak - Thank you so much for reaching out to us. We're certainly happy to help with this and we apologize about the control issues with the washer. We definitely understand how frustrating this can be. The first thing we would recommend trying is a reset of the electronics. This can be done by removing the power cord for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. This should reset the control board and allow you to make proper cycle selections. We hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other issues or questions. Jonathon@GEA

Does this unit have two electrical plugs?  One for the washer and separate plug for the dryer?  I have a 4 prong 220v outlet in the area I want to put this, but I do not have a traditional outlet there.

Asked by: 1 plug or two
Hi 1 plug or two, Thank you for your interest in GEA. This is a great question and we are here to help with how many plugs are required. Unitized washer dryer units only have one power cord. Hello AL RIC - Thanks for reaching out to us! We are so sorry to hear about the out-of-balance issues you are experiencing with this unit, and understand how frustrating this can be. I'd like to understand some of the quirks of this machine. For instance why does it do two more shots of water when you close the lid after the machine is filled?

This happens whatever fill option you choose, so that's not correct. What little I found in GE's literature and information on the website or on YouTube is that this is a child safety feature, though how it is I can't imagine.

I've noticed that the amount of clothes I could dry in an older dryer in 45 minutes take 60 minutes to dry in this one. Is that by design to be more energy efficient, or should I be worried that the vent may need cleaning out?

Asked by: dm9712
Hi dm9712 - Thank you for the questions. This is a great one and we're so happy to help clear this up. This dryer does use less energy and that definitely can account for a longer dry cycle than your previous model. We also definitely recommend checking that the lint filter is clear and that the vent is clean from dust. We hope this helps some. Thank you for being a part of the GE Appliances family. Jonathon@GEA

2nd question: When the last spin comes to a stop, instead of unlocking the lid there is a pause, then the motor starts up again and it sounds like it is rotating the tub one more time before going off again and unlocking the lid. Why is that?

Asked by: dm9712
Hello again dm9712 - Thanks so much for the follow up question. We're always happy to help and this question is a great one. This is likely the final spin cycle of the wash and is to help drain the clothes and give them a good once over. You can view each status of the wash by checking the light panels on the control panel. We recommend checking out the Use and Care manual on page 7 to get some more information on the cycles.
