Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). How do I get deep fill to work. There is no indication that it is engaged, nothing lights up and it beeps as if it is not an option.

Asked by: MLMRoswell
Hello! Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We are sorry you're experiencing this. We are more than happy to provide guidance. You will select the Deep Fill feature for loads where extra water is needed. The Deep Fill feature is recommended for special case loads only, not for typical use. Press and release the Deep Fill button once before starting the cycle to add 3 addition gallons of water to the wash load. Holding the Deep Fill button for 3 seconds will provide the deepest fill level possible; this will increase cycle time due to the additional time it takes to fill the washer. Thank you for checking with us. We hope this helps! - Adrian@GEA

How do you keep your clothes from tieing in knots with this washer?

Asked by: Shirley Skidmore
Hi Shirley Skidmore, Thank you for reaching out and choosing GE Appliances. Tangled, twisted or knotted clothes are usually the result of wash loads that were not properly sorted. Here are some tips to help you prevent clothing from knotting and twisting: Avoid mixing heavy items with light items. Avoid putting too many or too few items in the washer. Make sure you set the proper water level for the size load you are doing. Never wrap the clothes around the agitator. Be sure your wash water is not too hot for the fabric. We hope this helps! Hello al2357 - Thank you kindly for reaching out to us today. We hope you are having a great week so far and we also appreciate the chance to help out. The water level in the cycle seems very low for a big load. Is this normal ? The clothes were barley covered with water and the top of the clothes never got agitated to the bottom. Thanks

Asked by: Gale29
Good afternoon Gale29, We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us and we will gladly look into this! This is actually normal for these newer washers! The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. If you would like to see the average water usage for your model you can navigate to this webpage with the link we have provided below! https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=19491 We want to thank you for being part of our GEA family and do not hesitate to reach out to us again with any additional questions, take care! My machine is 1 day old. I was able to do my first 2 washes then every time after I start a new wash, it'll fill then after filling up the wash automatically cancels. How can this be fixed???

Asked by: DawnC3171
Hi DawnC3171, Good afternoon and congratulations on your new washer! We're sorry to hear that the washer stops after filling with water, we are here to help. If the washer stops after filling, check the house circuit breaker/fuse as well as the outlet and plug. Washers should be plugged into their own separate outlet. If it is not a power supply issue, check the following: Newer top-load washers are designed to operate much quieter than a typical washer. To test to see if it is agitating: Open the lid and place a new article of clothing in the washer and note its position. Close the lid. Let the washer run for a minute or two and open the lid. If the agitator is working properly, the article of clothing should have moved around in the wash. If the washer is not agitating, you may need to reset your washer motor . If your washer senses a power spike, unbalanced load, or disruption in power it will send a fault code to your motor and may require the motor to be reset: Unplug the washer for 1 minute from the electrical outlet. Plug the washer back in and lift and lower the lid 6 times within a 12 second period. You have 30 seconds to start lifting and lowering the lid. The lid must be raised a minimum of 2” ensure the magnetic connection on the lid is interrupted. Make sure you close the lid completely each time. The motor has now been reset and is ready for you to start a cycle. We hope this helps! Dom@GEA

What is the ethernet Port on the back of this washer for? Can you connect it directly to your network through this?

Asked by: Chewbacca
Hello Chewbacca, Thank you so much for reaching out to us. We are more than happy to help clear that up. Current appliances have a data port (like an RJ jack or ethernet port) that allows the appliance to be tested or serviced more easily. This port is used by GE Appliances factory technicians to plug in their diagnostic equipment when needed. It is recommended to connect your appliance to your network via the bulit-in WiFi. We hope this helped. Stay safe out there. Jonathon@GEA

Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us at GE Appliances We are so happy to help. We definitely recommend only putting liquid detergent inside the smart dispenser as it is designed to only hold high efficiency detergent. You can still use powered detergent, all you have to do is sprinkle it directly on the clothes and make sure the SmartDispense is turned off. This information can always be found on page 15 of the Use and Care manual in case you need it in the future. We are having balancing issues washing towels mostly(cannot wash more than 6 at once) but also with other random loads, at times we will need to reposition the load up to 3 or 4 times before it will go through a full spin cycle. The washer is level

Asked by: VinceS
Hi there VinceS, Thank you so much for reaching out. We're sorry to hear about the balancing issues. We can understand how that would be concerning. All GE Appliances washer tubs move freely within our exclusive auto balance suspension system. It is a rod and spring floating suspension, designed to withstand extensive out of balance situations without the need for an "out of balance" switch. During an out of balance load, the basket is allowed to "float" forward and backward, side to side, and up and down, yet it never touches the floor nor is it even connected to the floor. As a result, the clothes basket can move freely, and this is normal. If the washer detects that it is unbalanced, then it will attempt to auto balance itself. If balancing issues continue to be a problem, we would recommend service. You can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us via social media or through our Contact Us page. Does this model have an internal heater to get the water temperature to the correct setting? I have a tankless water heater and am looking to upgrade from my current model as the water doesn’t get hot fast enough currently because of my water heater.

Asked by: Mo227
Hi Mo227! Thank you for your interest in GE Appliances. This is a great washer model, and we're happy to offer some guidance here. Rather than using internal heating elements, our washers use the household hot and cold water supplies to meet the desired temperature. The household water heater should be set to deliver water at 120° to 150°F (50° to 66°C) to the washer when hot wash is selected. The water pressure must also be a minimum of 20 psi to 120 psi maximum. We hope this helps! - Liz@GEA

EVERY time is washing the machine become off balance. I cannot wash a full load without it becoming off balance. I am ready to just buy another washer! what should i do. Repair person have been out 2 times

Asked by: sheliamad
Hi sheliamad! Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We're so sorry to hear you're having trouble with your washer, and we're happy to offer some guidance here. An out-of-balance load is typically the result of how the washer is loaded. First, we recommending sorting the wash loads by color (whites, lights, colors), soil level and fabric type (sturdy cottons, easy care, delicates). Sturdy or bulky items should be washed separate from more delicate and lighter fabrics if possible to help prevent an out-of-balance situation. Load dry items loosely in the washer basket. For best results, load items evenly and loosely around the outside of the basket, filling in towards the center on larger loads. This will help keep the clothing evenly distributed throughout the wash cycle. Be careful not to place large items such as sheets, blankets and towels across the Infusor in the center of the basket as this can cause the items to get twisted and unbalanced. Load them around the outside of the basket. We also recommend not overloading the basket, and if needed, use the Deep Fill feature to increase the water level on larger loads. Also be sure to use the appropriate cycle setting for each load so the washer can accurately determine the amount of water needed. For example, use Towels for towels and sheets, and Colors for standard loads. For additional support, we recommend reviewing the Getting Started and Loading sections of the Use and Care Manual, which you can view and download at the web address below: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-3000187-1.pdf If you do experience an out-of-balance load, we recommend pressing the Start/Pause to pause the cycle, open the lid, and redistribute the clothes evenly. Then close the lid and press Start. You will notice the washer fill with a small amount of water and agitate briefly after being paused. This is normal. The washer is detecting the load and will momentarily resume the cycle where it left off when it was paused. We hope this helps! - Liz@GEA

Asked by: JillG
Hello JillG, Thanks so much for reaching out to us. This is a great question and we are more than happy to help. We apologize for our late response. I just got this washer today.  Looking through the glass it looks like the agitation does not pull the clothing down.  They just seem to float on top.  How can this clean.  These are sheets I am looking at.

Asked by: Nikki790
Hello Nikki790, Thanks so much for reaching out and congratulations on the purchase of your GE washer. We hope it provides many years of great use. On top load models with an Infusor (also called Pulsator), the Infusor replaces the agitator in the wash basket. The Infusor plate works alone or with the wash basket to provide different types of wash action including a centrifugal wash action called Centrifusion (cleaning solution is rapidly pulled through fabrics to force out dirt for thorough, gentle cleaning). The Infusor also rotates (or oscillates) back and forth to "measure" resistance on its surface to determine the load size. This provides Adaptive Water Fill so the Harmony auto-fills with just the right amount of water needed for great wash performance. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us via social media or through our Contact Us page. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA

Other than being notified via the app when the washer is done, is there a beeping notification on the washing machine itself for when the cycle is finished? I've run one load and it didn't make any sound.

Asked by: lildollygirl
Hello lildollygirl - Thanks for reaching out to us, this is a great question! This model does make a sound when the cycle is complete, but it is not a loud signal you can hear in the other room. If the appliance is not making any sound at all when the cycle is complete please disconnect power to the unit for two to three minutes. This will reset the electronic components and hopefully restore normal functioning to the end of cycle signal. If the issue persists, this will require service by a qualified technician. You can schedule an appointment with a GE Appliance technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

If I wash more than two towels at once, they are soaking wet at the end of the cycle. I have to put the washer back on the spin and drain cycle, sometimes more than once. I load them as described in the manual, but it still happens. Please advise.

Asked by: Carolyn F
Hello Carolyn F, Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear that your clothes continue to come out wet after a cycle. We can understand how this would be annoying. Make sure the cycle selected matches the load you are washing. Some fabrics will feel wetter when rinsed with cold water. Wash load may be out of balance. Redistribute load in washer and run through Drain & Spin cycle. We hope this helps. Best wishes!
