Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

What is the whooshing sound that goes on after closing the freezer? Is it a fan?

Asked by: frez21
Hi there, Frez21, Great question! When the door is opened, cold air rushes out of the freezer, and warm air rushes in. This causes a temporary vacuum until the freezer temperatures equalize, and you may hear a whooshing or air flow noise for up to one minute while the pressure inside the freezer equalizes with the surrounding environment. The sound you hear is normal, and is simply confirmation that the freezer is sealing tightly. Thanks for checking!

How much width is needed when the door is open enough to pull out the wire basket?

Asked by: jjjjjjjjjjjjj
Hi jjjjjjjjjjjjj, Thanks for the question. I apologize for the delayed response and am very glad to assist with your question. We recommend having approximately 16" from a wall to open the door and fully remove the wire basket. We wish you all the best.

is there anyway to turn off the beeping sound that goes off every time you open the door?

Asked by: zvinc
Hi zvinc, Thanks for reaching out to us! If your door has been left open for more than 2 minutes, the control panel will display Door Open and will sound an alarm until the door has been closed or DOOR OPEN is pressed on the control panel. If Door Open has been pressed but the door has not been closed, Door Open will continue to be displayed on the control panel until the door has been closed. If 10 minutes after Door Open has been pressed, the door is still open, the door open alarm will sound again. We would check to make sure that your unit is sealing well. Check to make sure that the gasket around the door is not damaged and that it is sealing well to the unit. If it is not sealing well, this could be why the alarm is sounding when you open the door. If you continue to have issues, you can attempt to reset the internal electronics of the unit by disconnecting power briefly, for about 30 seconds, and then restoring power. If you still have issue after attempting all of this, a service call may be needed to further investigate the issue. Our service team can be found through the following link: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm We hope that this helps and that you're staying safe.

What is the continuous amperage of GE upright freezer model FUF14SMRWW?

Asked by: surfer1
Hi surfer1 - Thanks for considering GE! All of our freezers (excluding international units) function at 115 VAC, 60 Hz and have approximately a 5 amp draw. Freezers typically draw extra current during start up (approx. 2x). The freezer should be on a dedicated circuit. This is recommended for best performance and to prevent overloading house wiring circuits. The exact amps that an individual freezer draws is on the rating plate and should be used if placing the freezer on a generator or other auxiliary power source. We received our freezer a week or so ago and its seems to work fine and foods are well frozen. However, the temperature alarm is constantly alarming. It is quite annoying. Is the unit operating as it should? Can the alarm be turned off?

I just received my freezer on 11/23/2018. So far I have been unable to adjust the temperature controls and the turbo freeze will not go off automatically nor can I turn it off manually. I have followed all the instructions but nothing works.

Asked by: JTA1
Hi JTA1- Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE. We are sorry to hear of the difficulty with the controls. Make sure the controls are unlocked. Press and hold Control Lock for 3 seconds to lock or unlock controls. If the controls are unlocked, we suggest to reset the electronics by unplugging or by turning off power at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or so. If the controls are not working as described in the Owner's Manual below (pages 5-6), a qualified service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis. Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60763-3.PDF The Turbo Freeze option will cause the freezer to cool to the lowest temperature and hold the temperature for 8 hours unless manually turned off.
