Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.

What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise (excludes lawn equipment). See a store associate for complete details.

I used the self clean option for the first time and now the interior light doesn't work. I've only had the this stove for a few weeks. It doesn't seem that the bulb would already be burned out....
Hi suldeb,
Thank you so much for reaching out and letting us know about the oven light going off. We understand how frustrating it can be having no lights. We are more than happy to help out here. We recommend making sure that the lightbulb isn't loose and trying to reset the electronics by unplugging the device then plugging back in or shutting it off at the breaker.
You can also replace the bulb to see if that helps. Here is a link to the bulb required from our parts page below.

Hope this helps some!

Is there a way to see the temperature while this oven is PreHeating, instead of just seeing the letters "PRE" on the screen? I would like to see how close the temperature is to the setting I put it on while it is heating up.
Hello CurlyByrd - Thank you for your question; we are happy to help! There is not a way to see the temperature during preheat. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks for checking! Olga@GEA

Has anyone else had issues with the metal area (up by the knobs) turning a bluish grey, where the heat is coming out of the oven? If so, how did you get rid of this discoloration? We have only had our oven for one month now & it doesn't clean up. HELP!
Hello CurlyByrd - Thank you for reaching out to us regarding you new range. We are sorry to hear about the discoloration; this is not normal. We recommend taking advantage of your warranty by scheduling a service appointment with an authorized GE Appliance technician who can accurately diagnose and correct the issue. Does this model JB655YKFS have a hidden element? The description indicates it does but the pictures show the element.
Hi UDflyer,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm happy to help. Many ranges have a Hidden Bake element. This design places the bake element under the floor of the oven were it is concealed under a non-removable porcelain enameled oven floor. This eliminates hard-to-reach areas that collect food and spills and makes the oven easier to clean. To service the bake unit on models with Hidden Bake will require service.

What is the best way to clean the stove top? I've used soap/water and cleaning sprays and it always looks smudged.
I have always used Cerama Bryte on my cooktop. It is a cream that you apply and buffs/cleans the surface of the glass cooktop. Occasionally I follow up with a soft clean towel to make it shine.

Bought this model a couple weeks ago. The pre heat seems to take awhile to get to the right temperature. Also, the oven makes clicking sounds during pre heat. Is this normal? Thanks
Hello Mrsbrown70 - Congratulations on your new range purchase! We can certainly understand your concern regarding the oven preheat time and clicking sounds; we are glad to assist. Please visit the following link to review the information regarding oven preheat time: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16540
It is normal to hear the temperature control click on and off during baking, broiling and self-cleaning cycles. Your range has been designed to maintain a tighter control over your oven's temperature. You may hear your oven's heating elements click on and off much more frequently than in older ovens. This achieves better results during baking, broiling, and self-clean cycles. We hope this information is helpful. Thanks for checking!

can I use an iron skillet on the smoothe cooktop
Hi there, Scott11171938,
Great question! We do not recommend using cast iron on glass cooktops. If the cookware has a burr or rough spot, it will scratch the glass surface.
Check out Cookware used on a Radiant Smooth Glass Cooktop for additional information: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16259
We hope that this helps. Thanks so much for checking!

We want to replace our cooker and fridge and want as close as possible to have (black) colors that match as close as possible; hard to judge with the online pictures. Looking at the models GFE24JGKBB and JB655FKDS are they a good color match? Suggestions?
Hi Peter H,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
The BB and DS at the ends of the model numbers are code for the colors of the finish on the appliances. The BB is for Black and the DS is for Black Slate. While they look similar, you would notice a difference in your kitchen.
Making sure that both of the model numbers end in BB is the best way to make sure you reach that symmetrical look that you're wanting in your kitchen.
You can see the Black finish on the refrigerator here: https://www.geappliances.com/appliance/GE-ENERGY-STAR-23-7-Cu-Ft-French-Door-Refrigerator-GFE24JGKBB
And the Black finish on the range here: https://www.geappliances.com/appliance/GE-30-Free-Standing-Electric-Convection-Range-JB655DKBB
We hope that this helps and that your kitchen ends up looking beautiful!

First time using the two front burners, noticed that the grey metal surrounding the smooth top glass cook surface gets hot. What temperature (max) should I expect?
Hi there,
Excellent question! This is difficult for us to determine as the heat that you're feeling surrounding the cooktop can vary depending on how high you have the burner set. If you feel as if the range surface is too hot, take a look at this troubleshooting article to see if the information inside helps: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=37762
We hope that this helps!
Thank you very much for your question.
