Does Aaron's check my credit?
As part of our digital approval processes, Aaron’s will check credit history and creditworthiness and rely upon customer reports and information obtained from third-parties in considering your application. We do check credit sources; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers that other stores won’t, including customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
How do I make my payments?
Your first payment for an online order must be made using a debit or credit card. Once the first payment is made, your local store will accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards, or you can continue to pay online. If you are interested in online payments, please go to myaccount.aarons.com and click on “Register.”
Can I pay out my lease early?
Yes. You can purchase the product at any time. If your ownership plan is longer than 6 months, you can take advantage of Aaron’s same as cash option. For those new agreements with a payment option longer than 6 months, if you payout your merchandise within the applicable same as cash period, you will pay the cash price, plus tax and applicable fees (if any). The same as cash period varies by location but is generally 120 days. For California residents the same as cash option is 90 days for all rental purchase agreements.
In addition, after the same as cash option expires, you can purchase the merchandise for more than the cash price but less than the total of remaining lease payments, as described in your lease agreement. This early purchase option amount varies by state and is explained in the lease agreement.
What is Aaron's return policy?
Once your item has been delivered, you can contact your local store to schedule a time for return or pick-up as stated in your agreement. However, you will not receive a refund. But don’t forget about our lifetime reinstatement benefit; you can restart your lease anytime you like on the same or comparable value merchandise. Lawn equipment, seasonal items, and special order merchandise are excluded from the lifetime reinstatement benefit. See a store associate for complete details.

Two problems.Sometimes my washer shuts off a couple of minutes after the first two sprays of water and after the four clicks and will not fill. Then a couple of times it would go through the wash cycle and then shut off leaving my washer full of water.

Asked by: KJWebb
Hi KJWebb, Thank you for reaching out! We're sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with your washer not functioning properly. If the washer stops after filling, check the house circuit breaker/fuse as well as the outlet and plug. Washers should be plugged into their own separate outlet. If it is not a power supply issue, check the following in this helpful troubleshooting article here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17398 Occasionally, the timer may be advanced to the pump out portion and the washer will try to spin with a full or partial tub of water. In this case the washer will try to spin, recognize there is water still in the basket and stop and pump out, try to spin again, stop and pump out, etc. This will continue until all of the water is out. It will then complete the spin cycle (if there is any time left). If the troubleshooting does not help or the issue persists, I recommend scheduling a service appointment with an authorized GE Appliance technician who can accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-432-2737, Mon-Fri 7 am – 10 pm ET, Sat-Sun 8 am – 6 pm ET or schedule online anytime at: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htms We hope this helps!

What is the difference between the S,M,L for the whites and the S,M,L for the colors? Is it water level? Time in washer?

Asked by: CF12
Hi CF12, We appreciate you hopping in and asking us this awesome question. We are so happy to help out and we would like to apologize about our delayed response. The difference between using the whites setting and colors settings for the washer is the water temperature and agitator cycle. White clothes usually need hotter temperatures to help remove stains and germs. Hope this helps some! Jonathon@GEA

We just replaced the old GE washer dryer with your new version, same model. We noticed that after the washer cycle the vertical row of green lights stay on, even after we remove the washed clothes. Is this normal? Is there something wrong?

Asked by: Forest51
Hello Forest51, thank you for your question! In this case, we recommend you disconnect the power or flip the breaker for 2 to 3 minutes as this will often times reset the electronics. If these troubleshooting tips do not resolve your issue, we recommend you schedule service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. I have this unit unitized stackable washer dryer. I understand it has water saving feature. But I’ve had items come out of a cycle and part of item is bone dry.  Is there a way to manually set water levels? Items not being fully submerged in water!

Asked by: Fawx12
Hello Fawx12 - We appreciate you being part of the GE Appliances family and will be happy to help with your laundry center. Model GUD24ESSMWW does not offer the ability to manually set the water level. It uses adaptive fill to sense the size of the load and add water accordingly. The unit does offer a Deep Rinse option that can add more water to the rinse portion of the cycle. If you are noticing the clothes are not coming out clean, we recommend adding less clothes to your loads. You can also schedule service by calling 1-800-432-2737 or online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm?_ga=2.44171949.84013435.1609164282-1701951476.1564072784 Keep in touch! - John@GEA

Asked by: Leon Architect
Hi Leon Architect, We appreciate your interest in our washer/dryer units. We'd love to help you out. Yes, this is the smallest unitized washer/dryer we currently manufacture. This unit requires 0" of clearance in the rear, however, when the exhaust duct is located at the rear of the dryer, the configuration of the ducting may require greater than 3" of rear clearance. Asked by: Little Fisher

Most bed sheets will wash properly in our washers as long as the below is followed: The sheets fit below the balance ring of the washer tub and are not stuffed in the tub tightly. The thickness, density, and overall size of the sheets should be taken in account when deciding whether to wash the sheets in one load. We hope this helps! - Trey@GEA

Can you wash a queen comforter in the unit

Asked by: MMSA
Hi MMSA - Thank you for reaching out to us. While this is a great question, it is not one that has a simple answer. The thickness, density, and overall size of the comforter should be taken in to account when deciding whether to wash your comforter in your washer. The general rule of thumb with regard to washing large beddings items like comforters in a top load washer is, will the comforter fit below the balance ring of the washer tub without being stuffed in the tub tightly? If so, we would recommend using the Bulky Items wash cycle and select the Deep Rinse option to ensure the best wash performance. We hope this helps. Vikki@GEA

I just purchased this machine and had an older model. I find that the whole machine does not fill up with water entirely like the other one. Also it does not fill while open when I am filling with soap and softener like the old one. Is this wrong?

Asked by: Patti Elf
Hello Patti Elf, Thank you for reaching out to us about this amazing unitized washer/dryer. This is a great question and we are more than happy to help. This model is a high efficiency washer so the water levels are lower. Less water is required in order to provide effective cleaning action. This is normal and expected of this washer. This washer will not operate when the lid is open. This is a safety feature that prevents agitation and spinning when the lid is up. For more information on the different wash cycles that your washer offers please view page 7 of the Use and Care Manual located here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90581-5.PDF. Hi, I bought a washer/dryer stackable unit model #GUD24GSSM1WW with serial # AR050306C and was installed by professionals. They dryer of this unit does not heat up. It drys the clothes cold. Will you please tell me how to fix it? Thank you!

Asked by: Parwiz
Hello Parwiz, Thank you for reaching out to us about this unitized washer and dryer. We are sorry to hear that your dryer is not heating and we can understand the frustration this must cause. We are happy to help troubleshoot this issue for you. If a fuse is blown/circuit breaker is tripped; the dryer may tumble but not heat. In this case we would recommend that you check the house fuse/circuit breaker box and replace both fuses or reset both breakers. Your dryer may tumble if only one fuse is blown or one breaker tripped. Another reason the heat might not be working properly is if the gas is shut off. Please Make sure gas shutoff at dryer and main shutoff are fully open. If these tips do not solve the problem we would recommend service. Would i have to set washer to heavy cycle if i have a full load or just keep it on normal cycle?

Asked by: Gaby108
Hi Gaby108 - Thank you for reaching out to GE Appliances. I am happy to answer this question for you. The normal cycle selection is intended for for washing up to a full load of normally soiled cotton clothing. If a load is more soiled than normal, then we would recommend that you select the heavy cycle, as this will provide for a longer agitation period. You will also find additional guidance on selecting wash cycles on page 7 of your Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90582-4.PDF I hope that this helps! What does it mean when the dryer can "exhaust vent" rear, left or right. Are there three possible exhaust connections with this dryer?  for the dryer to be as close to the wall as possible, what kind of periscope vent would be needed for rear connection?

Asked by: Bones13
Hello Bones13 - Thanks for reaching out to us, these are great questions! I will be happy to provide some guidance. This model does offer three different options for venting, standard rear, downward, or rear. These set up options are detailed on pages 14-15 of the installation instructions so that you can make the best choice for your installation setting: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-16781-3.pdf . We strongly recommend using rigid metal exhaust duct. However, if flexible ducting is used it must be UL-Listed metal, not plastic. Using duct elbows will prevent duct kinking and collapsing.
